You left and you left me there standing waiting for you to come back,
I waited patiently for a “I messed up, I’m sorry” but every time I turned on my phone hoping that your name would appear, it wasn’t there
I just wanted to be your everything and the reason you were happy
Was I not enough? Because I gave you everything and I was there for you
Every day I reminded you of how important you were, I guess I was foolish because you never said the same and I still stayed
And I would love to forget but the memory is just there
And I hope that you regret everything you once said
“You are the only one I want,” but how can you say that and two days later say, “I don’t want you anymore I've seen who you really are”
And what is that supposed to mean? Who am I?
I am not a monster I am not. But those words are haunting me playing over and over my head, making me feel like it was my fault,
But I know it wasn’t my fault,
but the words are there and they hurt my soul, the soul that shattered into millions of pieces remembering all those worthless promises you ever made
“I will never hurt you” But here I am hurting, drowning in my tears
You broke my heart so easily and left me as if I never meant anything to you
And that’s what hurts the most, the fact that you just left as if I was never anything to you
I try to be strong and I try to forget but every time I try you are just there
I wanna take you out of my head, I am tired of it
I’m tired of your name being stuck in my head
I just hope one day you go through what I felt because everything you do with the intention to hurt someone comes back in God’s hands

Hey friend! I hope you are having a lovely day. I thought id stop by and review this wonderful poem of yours. Let's get right into it!
Instead of "a I messed up" it should be "an"
This is a really beautiful phrase and I love it so much. Just wanting to be important and loved to someone else. You just want them to need you and love you. This person gave you everything and was always there, but you still pushed them away and didn't see how much they helped you.
This poem goes through a lot of emotions. It talks about being pushed away and regected by someone who has done everything for you. It talks about how one day, someone can show you so much love and need you and use you and then the next day, they ignore you, push you away, and say they don't need you anymore. That is an incredibly hard way to feel, being pushed away by someone you have learned to love. Your sentences are simple and beautiful and speak a lot of truth to me.
It seems that they way this person has pushed you away makes you doubt yourself sometimes to. You begin to think, "am I a monster?" what if it really is me who is causing this person pain? I have experienced some of these emotions before and your words speak them very clearly to me. I can tell you wrote this very patttionately and full of regret/love.
I love how you ended this. Wanting those to hurt you to be able to experience a bit of that hurt themselves. Tying it into God's hands was a lovely touch too. Overall, this was beautiful. It was simple, but deep. Lovely work!
Your friend,
Ellie
God is where truth is. Many people are so swallowed by hatred that they can't comprehend that simple fact. People will strike out, and ignore the truth, because that is what they were taught.
Evil brings evil, so you must be the good that breaks that cycle. No matter what happens.
Matthew 10:22 "You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."
Stand firm, be strong, never give up. Let the pain fester and it will become darkness. In pain, turn to God. Reach for Him, and He will take you into His arms and free you.
Be the light. Break the darkness. Be kind, be good. Don't sink and wish pain.
Then you will be truly free.
Amen!!
