I could never forget the day I laid my eyes on him. I was in the library browsing through the biographies. Then I saw him sitting at a table, deep in thought, looking at his laptop screen. His eyes were a piercing blue, like ocean waves in a storm. He noticed me staring and gave me a warm smile. I smiled back at him, my confidence unwavering. Then he got up and walked towards me. I stood there, holding a book in my hand, and waited. He asked me if I wanted to sit down and gestured to the table he had just been sitting at. I accepted and sat down. We spent hours talking while we read and studied together. That's when he asked me on a date, and I happily said yes. That is where our love story began.
We dated for two years, and then he proposed. He proposed in the middle of a field of tulips. I was so amazed I didn't notice when he got on one knee till he started speaking. We sent out invitations to the wedding, we were so excited. It was one week before I was forever his when the accident happened. We were driving home after visiting our wedding planner. He was holding my hand while talking about how we were so close to being husband and wife. All I remember was the blinding lights in front of us and a loud noise. I woke up in the hospital with barely any scratches on me. The doctors told me that we were hit by a drunk driver. Everything else was a blur. People say that they will love each other for the rest of their life. I loved him for the rest of his life but he left before he could love me for the rest of mine. The funeral was on October 10th the day we would have been married. My heart shattered as they closed the casket knowing I would never see those piercing blue eyes ever again.

Nice story written by the author.
A sweet starting with a tragic ending.
Love is a lot like weather, it keeps on changing, but if love lasts too long, if both of them are deeply in love with each other, then the almighty decides to change the season.
The story was so adorable and sweet at the starting, two people genuinely falling in love with each other, shyly glancing at each other, saying yes and meeting over and then finally (dream come true moment) getting married. All going well and off for a happy ending. But, fate stands in way, losing 'the one', whom you love with all that you have, it stings and it pains. Realizing you cannot hold hands with him anymore, realizing you won't be able to stare in his ocean like eyes anymore, I expected something like break up, but the real ending was so unexpected and sad.
"People say that they will love each other for the rest of their life. I loved him for the rest of his life but he left before he could love me for the rest of mine."
Not too many words but, these two lines were enough to make me understand how much pain and sorrow this piece of writing expresses. The author is a very strong person and I wish, in their next life they both could embrace each other forever.
Keep it up.
Waiting for more.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment!
This was pretty lovely up until the end. I cried, yet it was still so gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
OH HI !
A nice short story, I loved the way you began your writing
"I could never forget the day I laid my eyes on him"
That actually caught my attention. Uh but there are a few things i think you can improve or maybe add .
1. Although I know its a short story, but i think so it should be broken into paragraphs rather than writing just in a whole paragraph.
That just seems a little monotonous.
2. Vocabulary is quite good, but still there were scopes to describe him or maybe the situation.
3. I just think ( just personal opinion) , things got a little messy.
Like
"It was one week before I was forever his when the accident happened. We were driving home after visiting our wedding planner."
this part came so suddenly. Give it a gap i guess, although yes it is supposed to be short but not that much.
.
OH YA THATS it.
Rest is really good.
Keep writing!
It was a bell ringer for my class. I regret not putting it in broken paragraphs but that was after I posted it! Thank you for your comment!
