Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
The words don’t load well, it’s incredibly grainy, but here is the original sort of graphic I made to go with this one. It’s just stock photos with very basic editing, but idk, I enjoyed it.

Hey there, Purple! This is Alex, here with a review. Let's get right in!
First let's discuss the title. It isn't necessarily irrelevant, but not that precise either. The word 'thread' doesn't tell us much and leads the reader onto a blind path. If you used something like 'all is red around me' or anything else relating to the colour, it might've worked better. I say this because the colour is such a more potent anchor you've got here, just waiting to be let down. This is all just my unprofessional opinion to fix the gap in the reader-poetess connection. Feel free to overlook this suggestion if you feel it isn't much big of an issue to think over.
I'm loving the flowery colour vocabulary here I'm learning new words! I'm impressed how well they fit in too, flowing so effortlessly in the narrative. You've done a commendable job!
An unexpected perfect imagery, this one. It's so appropriately used, Bravo!
A clever doing here! By painting a cathedral, you make the reader imagine something holy instinctively. You give time for that imagination to develop only to break it in the next stanza in a rather firm tone. Shattering!
These repetitive descriptions of red back up my suggestion before. They're enchanting and have a lot of potential to hook the reader's attention with a better grip.
I sense a shift in the second half of the poetry, as it abandons its yet set style. The attention has shifted from red imagery to a more concrete story. I can't help but feel a disconnect between the two. It's not like this is the sole stanza shift, so it appears continuous in the theme when it's not. But I genuinely believe this is my own preference, as you've objectively done much to blend them expertly.
This was the first bit of the changing tide sprinkled in the stanza, otherwise portraying red imagery.
These two stanza combining both ideas have an appeal of their own and help the reader get used to the change gradually. Good thinking!
This kind particularly hit me. The fact that it's so contradictory yet somewhat true- for both physical and emotional scars.
There's a unexplained hurry in this uncertainty. It sounds like a desperate cry for survival. It's raw, imaginative and terrifying. The worry in the tone of the poetess is so very evident, you've portrayed it quite precisely.
Despite the baseless nature of these lines, they seem to be speculating possibly. They're beautifully poetic but as the poetess says so in a serious tone, the reader can't help but wonder if this is indeed the reality the she lives in. Is her heart really made up of petals or is she exaggerating for the sake of sounding mystical? The reader is left to speculate.
Why do I feel a tinge of defeat here? As if the poetess had just realised that she can't evade an inevitable fate. Putting herself back up again may be a nice thought, but is at the end, a hopeless situation she can't rise from. How very heartbreaking..
Overall, great poem. The imagery is astounding and the red haze covers over all the reality. The uncertain story offers great room for the reader to expand their own imagination. The single liners between the stanzas were absolute bangers, gotta say. Thanks for sharing, I'm glad to have read this piece. Keep writing, hope to read more from you!
Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback, I appreciate it.
Hi hello, your poem got a bit of a priority boost bc of the review challenge.
Let’s see if I can write a worthy review. Already I’m almost intimidated because you put this in right-aligned and this has got to mean something! [Also I like that you changed the font colour!]
Ok time to actually read.
Oh I really like these lines:
I enjoyed reading your poem a lot. It has some hauntingly beautiful quality to it. I’m not well-versed enough in the medium to really interpret it but it does leave a strong impression on me regardless. Thank you for sharing!
PS: Just saw the imagine on how it’s supposed to look like and wow! I love it! Hmmm the dress looks like a wedding dress. I guess that should mean something. (Or maybe all white dresses just look like wedding dresses to me ^^°)
Hey, thanks for reviewing this!
This is amazing honestly. well done
Thank you!
I love this!
Thank you!
