Writters Block

An Idea left unfinished, abandoned, never brought to fruition,

Unrest and anger gradually pushing its creator to reluctant submission.

The Author pushes back harder, digs deeper, and keeps trying,

Despite his effort it is becoming harder for him to continue on smiling.

Slowly noticing that a once brilliant thought is unraveling at its seems,

The Author attempts desperately to relight the inspiration that illuminated his dreams.

It had potential, it was creative; new born words dancing across paper,

Now as the end looms nearer its carefree jubilation begins to taper.

Just moments ago it was alive, glowing, brilliant and unique,

Now with regret The Author looks up from the paper and lets out a solemn sigh of defeat.

No longer joyously dancing the the Idea now watches, motionless and confused,

Full of life for only a brief moment, it now feels carelessly used.

Reluctantly The Author lays down his pen, shuts the lights off and turns to face the room,

For a moment not all is dark; a small light franticly sputtering, terrified of impending doom.

Without looking back The Author silently swings close the heavy door,

With this final act of abandonment a burning Idea is extinguished, burning no more.

I really like this piece. I could very much relate to this because I've tried to start so many books but I have yet to finish one due to writer's block- and procrastination :P
I wasn't able to find any grammatical errors but there is a spelling error in the title: Writer's*
Soo I am going to say what I enjoyed :3

Like what mptigerswriter said, I also believe your word choice is great. Everything flows together perfectly:
"new born words dancing across paper" I really like this line and the personification in it.

I also love the last line; I could just picture a steady flame slowly being extinguished. I appreciate the way you compare the ideas as fire. That one idea is like that spark or fire starter that creates the flame until it's an open fire. But writer's block, the fire extinguisher, puts it out.

This might not be much coming from a 13 year old but I think this is a great poem.
I'd like to read more from you so keep writing!

Story of my life. I've abandoned so many books because of this. I do enjoy the way you describe the ideas as light or fire. It gives me a cozy feeling. Your word choice is stupendous and they give this poem a real sense of a writer. Everything flows perfectly and the spacing is... interesting? Good? Great? Something like that. It really hits close to home for all of us, subsequently I find this one of the most relatable poems I have ever read. Sorry for the short review, have a wonderful time writing.

First, I want to say that I love the way it’s written, lol I like the way all writers write and what the write and how they write. It has some good points about writer’s block and what it’s like to have it. NO FUN!! Writers block has always been a very hard thing for me to overcome, however the more familiar I got with my writing and writing style, the more I could get rid of the block I had going on. However, when I would change my genre because I am use to doing romance, that’s when the block would really hit me the most and it would really suck. But what would aggravate me the most is when, I am writing really well and the ideas are just pouring out like a roaring waterfall, then they abruptly just stop flowing. Just like that.
