Make Me Whole

In Poems before joining YWS

I think i wrote this when i was 16, that was three years ago, man I'm getting old

He left me such a wrack
Lost and alone
I had fallen off track

Attempting to find my way
Lying to all
I was “perfectly okay”

Yet you had questions to ask
disbelieving
Someone cracked my mask

In the dark a shining light
No longer alone
I had found my knight

Take away this blade
Heal my heart
Make his image fade

Boy, you have my soul
Break me apart
Or make me whole

I like this. The only nit-pick I have is that I think "wrack" should be "wreck", but then it wouldn't really rhyme. And I think you did a really good job with the rhyming because it's consistent and it flows well without sounding forced at all. I think it ends really well too, and sounds very final.

He left me such a wreck,
Lost and alone.
I had fallen off track. (What does this part mean? Did she fall off trakc with him so he dumped her or did she fall off track after him? Try to elaborate more, maybe?

Attempting to find my way,

That I was “perfectly okay”.

Yet you had questions to ask,
disbelieving of my facade.
Someone has cracked my mask.. (I added in some words, you can try different ones or keep those but I felt that it needed some more description there.

In the dark a shining light,
No longer alone,
I had found my knight.

Take away this blade,
Heal my heart,
Make his image fade.

Boy, you have my soul,
Break me apart,
Or make me whole.

Interesting poem, it seems to have a great amount of emotion and I love that. All in all, great poem - I liked it a lot!

Keep writing,

It took me a little to figure out how to read it so it had the right rhythm, but I really enjoyed it.
My favorite part was:

"Yet you had questions to ask
disbelieving
Someone cracked my mask"

I might add some punctuation to the entire thing, so people know where to pause. For example (and correct me if I'm wrong):
Yet you had questions to ask.
disbelieving,
Someone cracked my mask.

Again, I could be wrong and you dont want the poem to pause and sound like that. But ti was good. Keep Writing!

helloo! :)
Since the others already took care of the criticism I am just gonna stay at saying that it is an awesome write! :D
I do suggest you put punctuation in there. I think it would read easier that way, but maybe that's just me :) You really captured those feelings in this write and I really enjoyed reading this!
My favorite part in this poem:

Boy, you have my soul
Break me apart
Or make me whole

Hopefully this helped a little bit :)

Really good. I love all of the emotion, especially the last stanza.

He left me such a wrack;
Lost and alone,
I had fallen off track.

Attempting to find my way,
Lying to all that

I was “perfectly okay.”

Yet you had questions to ask and,
disbelieving,
Someone cracked my mask.

In the dark a shining light
No longer alone,
I had found my knight.

Take away this blade,
Heal my heart and
Make his image fade.

Boy, you have my soul;
Break me apart,
Or make me whole.

Just punctuation and a few added words to make the poem flow more.
Great poem, keep writing!

Whether or not you wrote this a 'long time' ago, it's good. I liked the flow and the length of the stanzas, but my favorite one was the final. It summed up the poem and ended with a bang of sorts.
