Shadow Writers

E - Everyone
   I am a writer, though none see me
   For I am naught but a shadow,
   Coming and going with the breeze.

   I haunt the darkest of nightmares,
   But fear not, for I am harmless
   I am but a fragment of your memory,
  A ghost trapped within the past

Hey there it's Speakerskat here to review for you and team Dreamwave! Happy review day

I must say I absoultley loved the legnth of the poem you have here it was just superb, right on ;)

I also loved how you described writing and mentioned a different, more interesting side of writesrs that most people often over look. We can be totally awesomes and mysterious! It flowed really well and nothing seemed strained or forced and I really fell in love with your usage of adjectives and imagrey. IF I HAD positivley HAD TO find anything to give you constructive critisisim about in this piece is that maybe youb could have added a fourth line to the first stanza? I really don't think that's necessary at all but I didn't want this review to be nothing but mindless praise. I really think you formatted this exceedingly well and the itallics made it even more visually appealing ;)

Well keep it up and I'll be flollowing your work eager for more like this!

Hi, Infinity here to review your poem! Firstly I love the simplicity, clarity and creativity of your poem, it's short and clear. The idea is also very interesting. However there are some suggestions I'd like to make.

"I am a writer, yet none see me"

For the first stanza the "I" in bold seems a bit unnecessary to me.
There's a few things in your stanza that ruin the flow perhaps something more like this:

I am a writer, though, none see me,

the word "yet" somehow didn't feel right there.

"I haunt the darkest of dark dreams,
Yet fear not, for I am harmless
I am but a fragment of your memory,
A ghost trapped within the past"

In your first sentence your use of dark felt repetitive and awkward,
how about writing something like this;
"I haunt the darkest of nightmares"

The word "yet" again doesn't quite fit there, so another suggestion;
"But fear not, for I am harmless"

Try to develop and expand your poem more to really haunt the reader because at the moment there isn't any haunting or ghostly feeling to it, imagery would also be helpful to add.

Overall, good poem with a lot of potential, keep writing!

-Infinity x

Thanks for the advice!

I love your poem. The style is very succinct and to the point. You evoke such strong feelings in the reader while using so few words. I like the imagery of a harmless ghost in the second part. I can find no grammatical or spelling errors in the work. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work submitted.

Short but sweet. In just two paragraphs you have described about yourself. The words you used are easy for everyone to understand and the way you have used to write it is simple amazing.The lines fragment of your memory is a good one. The title you have given shadow writers is simply mind blowing. I Think the lines coming and going need a bit of change. Rest all is really good. I appreciate it . Keep Up the good work.
