I Feel Scars

In My Poetry Is all Me

Image

You laugh at my expense.

I stand there and take it.

You throw names my way,

I stand there let the tears fall.

You cause me pain,

So my thoughts of me become a distorted emotional chain.

You push me down and spit on my feelings,

I slowly feel as if my skin is peeling.

And all that's left is blood on the floor,

A puddle of me, a puddle of your distaste.

You leave me to bleed, leave me to waste.

An aching head and a broken heart.

My mind is beginning to drift apart.

I'm breaking down and you won't set me free,

With every hurtful word you abuse me.

Why can't I just cease to exist?

If I were gone I doubt I'd be missed.

I'm slowly dying now,

Slowly crying now,

And my heart is on fire.

My insides turn to ash,

Everything in me is crumbling down.

And as I begin to fade,

I notice the deep wounds you cut ,

And you didn't use a blade.

I smile for, you can hurt me no longer.

As I fall, I fall into nothing but dark.

But as I go I will always carry your scaring marks.

I like this one. I can somehow relate everything you said in this poem...very good indeed. Not only that, you easily transfer an emotional feeling as we read your poetry, keep this one.

I think every single person can relate to this poem. It really reaches out to a wide range of people, and shows that everyone feels and everyone hurts, even if we don't want to. A beautiful poem :D

Hi there- i just felt like reading someones work on this site.
I thought that alot of your sentiments in the poem were well worded and that you hve a good idea on these thoughts. I am sorry that someone has put you through this to make you write this kind of piece and i hope that you are ok now.
I didnt quite understand if you were going for a rhyming pattern or not, you might want to look at that a little, otherwise well done.
If you need to talk to someone, you can send me a message.
