Let's talk about friends.

Let's talk about friends.

There are no words that describe a
good friend.
There are no adjectives, no nouns--no action.
For this type of thing there is no written translation--
a face without a name.
A meaning without a word--in a sea knee deep in language
no match is found.
In the mouth of the most inflated tongue the reality(Even
the reality!)is dulled.
Alas! God deserves thanks that I do not require words
to show how much I love you!

Thanks, i'll try that. I'm working on a poetry piece as a present for a friend of mine's birthday. And I just want it to be something special ya know?

Hey Ray! :D

This may just be a pet peeve of mine, but don't start off with saying that there are no words to describe [insert something here] because as soon as you insert the word in, you automatically describe it! So it's not really a good hook, as far as poetry goes. Instead of talking about how they can't be described, just describe it as best you can! You won't put it perfectly down, but at least there should be a sense or truth of what you're saying. :)

Uh, Lisa, the whole reason we have elected officials is so we don't have to think all the time. Just like that rainforest scare a few years back: our officials saw there was a problem and they fixed it, didn't they?
