Rose
I feel her warm skin, vibrant and alive pulsating with love, sending chills throughout my spine. My heart tingles, my stomach nervous, blood hastening through me like a never-ending highway. I can feel the energy beaming off her. I can tell she likes me, I can tell I’m under her skin, I know she’s drawn into me. I hear the rhyme of my own heart, beating faster than normal, excited and awake. She’s the reason for my existence, the foundation of my pursuit to happiness. The only reason I wake up. The only person I look forward to seeing. She’s my everything, my life, my soul mate, the key to my heart.
Her eyes lock into mine, everything stops, for this moment in time, I’m completely lost in serenity, undisturbed sitting with an angel. I get this feeling, thousands of butterflies flying from within me. I’m met with the deep blue of her eyes, looking directly into my soul, looking for the goodness and badness of me. She’ll find it eventually; I don’t want her to though. I want to remain hard to read, I want her to tell me she needs me. I need to know that she feels the same. As her hair sways with the wind, she moves in closer towards me. Her lips no further than six inches from mine, our eyes remain locked. We focus on us, nothing else.
She leans to the side of my face, right by my ear; I can feel her breathing against my neck. My body shivers with each breath, I’m practically sweating, waiting for her to say something. The intensity is killing me, tearing me apart from the inside, using my body against me. I beg my ears to hear something, even the smallest whisper. I need to know what she’s going to say. I can’t live without knowing, I’ll die in desperation. She finally says my name “Chance.” Taking a pause, she backs off, then leans in towards the other side of my face, whispering this time “Come with me.”
She lets go of my hand, slowly standing up, walking towards the lake that’s in front of us, looking back and signaling me with her finger to follow. I immediately walk with her, hand in hand, towards the small little dock near the shoreline. The night is beautiful, the moon glows above us sending strings of light through the trees. The birds sing themselves to sleep, crickets chirp away, howling of wolves echo throughout the park. Peaceful, romantic, all it could ever be. All I want it to be. We both sit at the end of the dock, dangling our feet off the side of the wooden floor. Ripples of water caused by our feet send miniature waves in all directions. We look towards the endless mirror, reflecting our image.
She smiles, I smile back, for minutes we just stare at the water, looking at the water reflect us. I turn, looking directly at her, I open my mouth to speak, but I’m met with a surprise. Her lips meeting mine, her eyes closed, I close mine. This wasn’t what I was thinking but far better than imaginable. Somewhere from within a burning sensation begins, the fire that lights the candle ceases to end. I feel alive, much more alive than ever before. I pull away, this time hoping to speak without interruption, “You know, I’m the one who is suppose to make the first move.” I say looking into her dazzling blue eyes. She gives a quick giggle, and winks, “It was taking too long cowboy.”
I let out a laugh, look towards the sky and grin “Maybe I wanted it to take long. Did you ever think about that?” It takes her a while to respond, as if she’s thinking about it, carefully analyzing everything I’ve said and done. “It’s not polite to make a woman wait, did ya know that?” I know she has a point, I know she has me all figured out. I can’t lie to her, I made her wait, because I wanted her to make the first move. Like a coward hiding in the corner, I used myself as bait, trying to catch a prize, risking everything but taking chances. “I think making you wait worked out well.” I say. “Why, because I ended up kissing you?” She says rolling her eyes.
She’s breaks contact with me looking off into the distance towards the mountains. I look away also, towards the water. “I wanted you to tell me you needed me.” I say with hesitation. She giggles a little bit, as if teasing me about what she’s going to say next. Telling the truth has me worried, worried about what she’ll think after that. Will she perceive me as a coward, or just being unique? “That’s so cute, I need you.” She laughs as she says it, leaning on my shoulder. Her soft silky golden hair brushing against my skin. I place my arm around her shoulder as we both gaze off towards the mountains. “Good, because I need you too.” I say.

Hey! Forever here with a review!
First of all, inconsistency of tenses. At a few places, I did feel that the tense changed from present tense to past tense when the incident actually happened in the present. So, you need to revise it a bit and make the tense consistent.
I love the atmosphere that you created in the story. The descriptions are wonderful and gives a vivid description of the atmosphere. We can imagine the setting quite well. However, I do feel that the characters are difficult to imagine. Now as your story doesn't have much plot, it's a very simple one and you focus on the descriptions. So, you should completely focus on them and flesh out our characters. You did provide some but you had the scope of providing many more.
Something more which I wonder is about the dialogues. It's better to write them in seperate lines. They feel a bit mixed when they are written within the paragraph.
Okay. Now the confession. That was a great part ofnthe story and probably the best part, I would say. It was quite entertaining to read the feelings of the characters towards each other. Overall, it was a good story.
Keep Writing!!
