Liam
I'm so scared, frightened by what they'll think of me. I'm sweating, my eyes twitch with every step I take towards them. My hands grip onto my jeans until they feel locked. A droplet of panic drips of my eyelash, it splashes against the smooth brown wooden floor, barely missing the tip of my white Rebok shoes. They're looking directly at me, both of their eyes staring into me. It's too much pressure, I can't handle it. I'm going to break, explode into a million little pieces. I'll be nothing but shards, broken and un-fixable. I'm half way there to my parents, half way broken. To them I'm a mistake, a son that went terribly wrong. They can't even look at me. They judge me differently, the love that a child should get from their parents is gone. It was gone the very moment I told them. The very second the words came out of my mouth. I'm gay.
His parents just stand there while he sits on the chair behind them. His hands clasped to each other on top of the dining room table. I turn around for a minute, closing my eyes. Regaining myself, keeping my emotions together. I can do this. Nothing is more powerful than love. That's what I have here, love. As long as I remember that I can get through this. This is a test, a challenge and I will not break. I can do this. I look back forward towards them and take a step. His father extends his arm out towards me, open. It's open, he wants me to shake his hand. I look into his eyes, solely on them. Forgetting about everything else in the room. Tyler, his mom, the clock ticking showing the seconds passing by, everything. It's gone. It's just me, his father's hand, and me reacting.
He opens his mouth, and the words just begin to come, "Hi Liam, I've heard a great deal about you." Both of our hands make contact and they move in a up and down fashion, "Hi Mr. Danna, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." I say as I close my mouth and flush it with saliva attempting to keep my mouth from running dry. We let go of each other's grip, "This is my wife, Amelia." I look at her, she's so beautiful. Her shiny curly black hair, the baby blues that makeup her eyes, her slim athletic figure. She moves towards me wrapping both her arms tightly around my chest. Our bodies both meet, the warmth from her cascades off of her. It's energizing, and for once a peaceful sense indulges me. She lets go and moves back, "Welcome Liam, we're so glad to have you here." She says.
I look past both of them and there he is, Tyler. The only real reason I am here. When I look at him, when my eyes gaze upon his smooth face and his gorgeous green eyes. My heart starts to flutter, my skin warms up, butterflies fill my stomach. I melt in his presence. I'm not worthy of such a love. I'm not good enough for him. He smiles and sends a wink my way. I feel my stomach drop, it almost makes me fall to my knees. I regain myself, I shut my emotions out and refocus on his parents. They both sit down and hold each other's hands, "So Liam, It's a shame you're parents are out of town, we would've loved to meet them." Part of me is dying to tell them the truth. They aren't out of town, they're at home fixating on how screwed up I am.
I look down at the floor then back at them, "Yeah, It is a shame." I say, "That's alright, we can live without them I suppose." He says. I sit down next to Tyler, the table covering are legs. He places his hand on my thigh and I shiver with excitement, "We want both of you to know, that we fully support this. It's in our hearts that love can and does exist everywhere. Even if it means loving the same sex." I hear the words coming from Tyler's mom, but it doesn't register. I can't focus, the weight of his hand, the nice grip he has is far more superior than whatever they are saying. Tyler looks at me than back at his parents, "Thank you Mom, and you too dad, It really means a lot to have your support. There's a lot of well, you know people out there who don't necessarily agree with what me and Liam have." I look at Tyler as he looks back at me, our eyes connecting.
It seems like minutes pass on by before we break our gaze, "If anyone ever, and I mean ever gives you two problems you can come to me, I'll handle it." His father says as Tyler's mom reacts to it. We both laugh and acknowledge him, "Thank you, really, thank you for accepting us." I say feeling as the once worrisome emotions begin to fade away. This is the happiest I've felt in a long time. Besides being with Tyler. Finally someone who understands us, accepts us for who we are. There is no stronger emotion than love, no tighter grip around our hearts than it. Love consumes us, fills us with that happiness that we grave. It's a drug. A strong one. Without it the world would be cold and barren. It doesn't matter if you're straight, bisexual, or whatever. Love is love, and there isn't anything you can do to stop it.
I'm happy with Tyler, and being this way, being able to express my feeling towards him in comfort is all I need. He's my everything, the beginning and the end, and the everything in-between. Tyler lifts his hand off of my thigh and places it on the table, "We're going to go upstairs, call us when dinner is ready?" He says as his mom answers, "Sure hun." We both get off the chair and push them in, turning away from the table and towards the stairs. Our hands meet and our fingers wrap around each other, "That was totally easier than I thought it would be" I say letting out a soft laugh, "I told you it would be alright. They one hundred percent support us." We ascend up the stairs towards his room. The wall is completely covered in photos of him and his parents. I want to cry, I wish I had the same love that he receives from them. In a way, I'm almost jealous.
We reach his room and he opens the door, shutting it as we both enter, "Finally alone." He says as he lets go of my hand and stares off facing his window, "Finally." I say biting down on my lip. He turns around and moves fast towards me, our lips meeting and our bodies crashing down against his bed. His fingers are running through my hair. My legs are on top of his. It's heaven, with each passionate kiss vibes of warmth explode through my body. There's no better feeling in the world, "I love you so much." he whispers into my ear then kisses me again, "Show me." I say. He pushes his body against mine until both our chest are completely pressed against one other, "You feel that?" He says, "All I feel is your heart beating." I say, "It's beating because of you, you make my heart beat." He says. I don't think I've ever felt so loved before. I can get use to it though.

Thank you for a very cute story~ I loved every moment of it~
On to the nitpicking:
"They judge me differently, the love that a child should get from their parents is gone. It was gone the very moment I told them. The very second the words came out of my mouth. I'm gay." The first comma should be a period. The period after "gone" should be a semi-colon, as should every other period until the end. "I'm gay" should be in quotes.
Also, remember to start a new paragraph whenever there is a new idea or when someone new speaks. You have very long paragraphs and they are rather intimidating.
This was a super cute story. I loved all of it. I like how you portrayed different reactions to coming out.
There were a couple small spelling errors, like "I sit down next to Tyler, the table covering are legs" (Should be "our"). However, they don't detract from the story.
Overall, the tone was perfect and there wasn't too much over explanation.
Good job!
Sphealwithit here....

Firstly can I say awwww so cute
Moving on, i really like this piece. Being a girl I may have a thing for gay guys but it generally was an awesome story. It does make me think though, why would anyone disagree with it. There's nothing wrong with being gay. To me it's just mean.
The first paragraph confused me a bit but other than that i didn't really see much wrong with this piece.
Keep up the good work
Sphealwithit out....
This was a really good piece. It made me wonder what my parents would say if I ever told them the truth. I'm bisexual so it's pretty easy to hide it, but sometimes I just want to come out and say it; especially when I had a girlfriend.
Anyway, back to the review!
You got the emotions perfectly. Both the ones of panic/fear and love/excitement. I especially loved the lines
"They judge me differently, the love that a child should get from their parents is gone."
-paragraph 1
and
"Love is love, and there isn't anything you can do to stop it."
-paragraph 6
I didn't find any grammatical errors except for one in paragraph 6 sentence 9. You wrote "...fills us with that happiness that we grave." I think you meant crave. other than that, I really loved this piece. I'll be checking out more of your work later. : )
Dear RLK,
I LOVED THIS!! Me being a big supporter of all things LBGTQ + more I love reading stories like this. This story was very well written and I just loved the idea with it.
One thing I was confused about though the first paragraph and second paragraph. I understood later on the first paragraph was talking about what happened with his parents but after reading that and moving onto the second paragraph it didn't click that the subject had changed. It would be a good idea to make it clear that you aren't going on the same topic.
Also in the first paragraph you said,
"A droplet of panic drips of my eyelash, it splashes against the smooth brown wooden floor, barely missing the tip of my white Rebok shoes."
I believe you meant to say off instead of, of. But while we are talking about this sentence I wanted to point off I was very confused by it. I don't see how panic can take a form like that, like sweat or a tear. The sentence just over all confused me. I think the paragraph would be stronger if you talked about him being panicked in a different way.
Overall I adored it reading this.
