Hiya! It's Nepo again! This chapter had been on my flash drive for a while so I had to edit it alot. Again, please point out my mistakes. It will be gladly appreciated.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
In a blink of an eye, it was already mid-summer. Everything was almost back to normal. I haven’t seen that pig headed jerk around or have had any weird dreams. It was almost normal. Keyword: almost.
“NINA! Get your humongous butt over here, dang it!” I screeched one morning. Nina just laughed as she slid down the banister, waving MY clothes. Which just happened to include my shirt, my pants, my underwear, and did I mention my bra?
“Come and catch me!” She laughed. I growled as I stomped down the stairs, my moist body only covered with a fluffy white bathrobe.
“Nina! I need to change!”
“This is why you need to come and get your clothes.” She made it sound like she was talking to a small child or an innocent puppy. That pig!
“NINA!” I shrieked, tripping over in the process.
“Get back here!” I grabbed Nina’s pant leg that was conveniently near my face and reeled her in, making her fall down too.
I seized the opportunity and clambered on top of Nina.
“GIVE IT BACK!” I took a firm grip on my clothes and yanked the hard. The only problem is that she was determined on keeping MY, I repeat, my, clothes and was equally pulling back hard.
“Give it back! It’s not yours,” I gritted out.
“Who cares?”
“I do!” I had abandoned the clothes and resorted to yanking her hair.
“Owwie!” She tossed the clothes elsewhere and tugged at my caramel locks.
“Stop that!” She yelled, tackling me to the ground. I shrieked in rage as I bit her, hard.
“You evil little bi--“
“GIRLS!”
My eyes widened and I’m sure that Nina’s did too as we turned to a red faced Mrs. Jones. Her hair was wild and tangled. Her large eyes were bulging out of her sockets as she breathed in and out.
“I leave the house for 20 minutes and y’all are already fighting.” Her voice was a deathly whisper making me feel guilty. I would have preferred if she yelled at us instead.
“Explain. Now.” She demanded.
“Well, you see Nina st--“
“Aurora just went crazy and sta--“
“One at a time. Nina, you start.”
Nina smirked. I stuck my tongue back at her, but Mrs. Jones gave us a curt glare and I remained still and silent.
“Well, I was strolling along the house,” Nina started, twirling her golden tresses. “When Aurora just sprang onto me, yelling about how she wanted my clothes. I only was trying to protect myself when she suddenly bit me! She was clearly unstable so I was trying to pin her down to protect myself and her from harm. You just happened to come in at that time.” Her expression was smug and it almost made me hurl.
Mrs. Jones raised her brows as she shifted her weight so she was facing me, “Okay what really happened?”
Nina was flabbergasted, “How did you know I was lying?”
“You just said so,” I smirked. She was so gullible.
“Alright, this is what really happened,” I gave a dirty look to Nina who was trying to feed her mom lies. “I was taking a shower when Nina thought it would be funny if I wandered naked around the house.” Mrs. Jones shot Nina a glare while I inwardly laughed. “I found this bathrobe under the sink so I put it on and went to look for Nina. She refused to give me my clothes and I knew the only way to get them back was by force.”
Mrs. Jones sighed as she massaged her temples, a habit she did when she was stressed. It took her a few minutes to calm down, but she did eventually.
She face Nina, “Nina, how many times have I told ya not to take Aurora’s clothes?”
“None,” She answered honestly for once.
Mrs. Jones made an oh expression, “Well, don’t ya do it again.”
“Ha!” I smirked at Nina’s predicament.
“And Aurora, dear,” Oh this wasn’t good. “Why didn’t ya just get some different clothes from ya room?”
Nina laughed at my red face. Why didn't I thought of that?
Mrs. Jones sighed, “The two of you get back in your room and do somethin’. I don’t care just, just, out.”
I nodded, recollected my clothes, which were hanging on the small bonsai tree near the window, and went back upstairs.
“It’s your fault,” I harshly whispered to Nina.
“My fault?”
“Yeah, you just had to steal my clothes.”
“It was just a joke!” She glared at me before slamming her bedroom door into my face. I was sure that there was a red mark on my forehead.
“Little witch,” I mumbled as I retreated back into my room. My room was to put it shortly, a pigsty. I took quite a lot of pride in it actually. My pillows and clothes were strewn across the room, crumpled pieces of paper were everywhere except the wastebasket, and my closet was about to burst with clothes, toys, and other knick knacks I’ve collected over the years.
I sighed in delight as I collapsed on my bed, which was littered with multicolored blankets and stuffed animals. I had already changed into loose fitting jeans and a t-shirt and now had the rest of the day free. I went to take a nap.
“Aurora, dinner!” I lifted my head, I’ve been sleeping that long? I wearily fell out of bed, I was tired. I also had the strangest dream. It was another one of Abianne and Akihiko. It was rather short and I was once again, inhabiting Abianne’s body.
It was outdoors, in a large open area with a single cherry blossom tree in the middle.
Akihiko and Abianne were standing in front of it, a large clunky camera in front of them. In Abianne’s slinky arms was a baby wrapped in a pastel pink blanket. The baby was small and petite, a tuft of silky black hair protruded from her round head as innocent green eyes blinked up at her. She looked like one of the babies from those commercials for baby formulas or diapers.
My dream ended with Akihiko rushing next to Abianne, the camera just about to go off since he set it on timer.
“I’m coming!” I yelled back down, standing back up. I slowly walked back down to the dining room, my feet dragging as I thought long and hard. I’ve already had two dreams about the mysterious Akihiko and Abianne, both inside Abianne’s body. Was it just a coincidence?
“We got pot roast and mashed potatoes and we also got some creamed spinach,” Mrs. Jones pointed to each dish just as I sat down.
“Wow, this looks great,” I complimented, filling my porcelain plate with a little bit of each.
“Yeah, great,” Nina agreed, her mouth filled with half chewed pork and carrots.
“Thanks dears, here Aurora, have some mash potatoes,” Before I could even protest, she smacked down a glob of the creamy substance.
I stared at it, “Yeah….Thanks.” I delicately popped a small bite of it into my mouth. It was so good!
Dinner was a quiet affair. Nina was busy stuffing her face while Mrs. Jones was normally a quiet person. I, however, was still thinking about the recurring characters in my dream. Of the dreams I could remember, they were all random and different. One was about red dancing Twinkies on the moon, another one was about purple dancing elephants eating flowers, and yesterdays dream was about floating chairs that could do karate. Though out all of the dreams I still know, I’ve never actually had a serious dream with the same people.
I wasn’t necessarily obsessing over it, but I was just curious about it. I was known for making the wildest theories and my dreams were just another victim. What if they were glimpses of the future? What if I had super powers? That would be totally awesome, kicking crimes butt and spandex! Well, the spandex might be a downside.
“--rora? AURORA!”
“What?” I questioned, twitching on how loud Nina screamed in my ear.
“Good, you’re back to earth.” I rolled my eyes as Nina continued talking. "Mom just said she got a letter from you from the post man.”
“Really? Can I have it?” Mrs. Jones didn’t answer, but simply handed me the letter. The envelope was a simple standard store bought envelope. It had few red rose stamps and the address was in loopy cursive.
12383 Galuuge Avenue, Summermont
I checked the return address and almost gasped in shock, the place was 17619 North Road, Point Gate! I couldn’t believe it, Point Gate was, to put it in simpler terms, one of the most high-tech, richest towns in the whole state. For me, an insignificant girl, to get a letter from the prestigious Point Gate was astounding.
“I’m going to go to my room and read it up there,” I tucked in my chair and as soon I was out if sight, I sprinted up the stairs and locked my door with an audible click. I turned my desk lamp on and settled myself on the glossy leather chair in front of the scratched wooden table.
I stared at the letter in front of me. I ripped the envelope opened and a folded piece of paper fluttered out. I nervously picked it up and unfolded it.
Dear Aurora Skye,
Hello Aurora. My name is Lydia Bones, head maid from the Kotobuki Residence in Point Gate. The Kotobuki’s have been friends with your mother, Mrs. Skye, since she was in college and I extend my hand to you for my mistress and master to invite you to stay here during your school years and the rest of your summer vacation.
We hope that you will learn much about your mother and her friends’ relatives and will have a great time if you decide to stay. For your caretakers, you do not need to worry about you schooling or funding for necessities, we will provide them. You do not need to worry about paying us back if you say yes because you are literally like family to the Kotobuki’s and your mother has done many services for the Kotobuki’s and this could be the least we could do.
If you decide yes, please send in your replay as soon as possible and we will prepare to your stay. We expect you to talk to your foster family about it and no matter what you decision is; we wish you the best.
Sincerely,
Lydia Bones,
Head maid of Kotobuki Residence
Wow...That was unexpected. My mom was friends with them. My mother, my mom, who left when I was young, knew these ‘Kotobuki’s’ and they were inviting me to stay with them. This surely was a dream. I pinched myself, I was still there.
I read over the letter several times, making sure I wasn’t imagining things. Yet, the letter was the same, offering me to live with them, offering to pay for funding, and offering to get to know my mother. I had to go. There was nothing going to stop me.
I grabbed the letter from the desk and closed the light. I quickly trampled down the stairs, where I was Mrs. Jones and Nina carrying dishes across the hall to the kitchen.
“Ya need somethin’ sweetie?” Mrs. Jones inclined her head as she paused to talk to me.
“Yeah. Once you’re done with the dishes, I need to talk to you in the living room,” I answered. Both blonds shrugged as the marched there way into the kitchen, whistling a tune that sounded like a choppy version of twinkle twinkle little star.
Once they were gone from the narrow hallway, I frowned; this wasn’t going to be easy. Mrs. Jones would understand, but I’m actually worried about Nina.
Nina was a naturally clingy person. She like the things they were and didn’t like change of something she loves, especially if it goes away. This means that if her older sister; the one who she teases and makes fun of everyday, left, I knew she wouldn't take it well.
I sat myself on the large beige couch, my hands fidgeting in my lap. Soon, Mrs. Jones and Nina were hustling back in, both sitting in the couch directly in front me. I never realized that the two looked so much alike. The both had wavy golden locks that were normally tied up, silvery grey eyes, and natural tan skin. They surely could've been twins if Nina wasn't so tall for her age and Mrs. Jones was much taller then she actually was. They both blinked innocently at me as they fiddled with their clothes or in Mrs. Jones case, apron.
I drew in a deep breath, “You know about the letter you gave me?” They two Jones nodded. “It’s from Point Gate and they were saying how they knew my mom.”
The two listened intently, nodding at the right moments, and stayed silent. A trait of Nina she had gotten from Mrs. Jones.
“The thing is. I want to move in with them,” I saw their expressions of shock and quickly added reason. “Ms. Lydia said the Kotobuki’s knew my mom and they said they could pay for funding and I could go to a new school. We also don’t have to worry about paying anything since they said I’m almost like family to them and my mom did something and they wanted to pay her back. So I really want to go and this could be the only chance to get to know my mom.”
“Sweetie relax,” Mrs. Jones concerned face hovered over mine as she rested a hand on my back and let me breathe.
“It seems like a great opportunity and I know how important ya mother is to you. However, I think Nina might need a bit more convincin’.”
I cast a worried look at Nina. She was completely silent during the whole explanation. She abruptly stood up and marched up the stairs, not sparing the two of us a glance. This was what I was afraid of. I looked up at Mrs. Jones; she looked just as worried just as I was.
“No worry dear, she’ll come around.” She lightly smacked my cheek and followed Nina’s footsteps and hurried up the stairs.
“Yeah. Everything will be all right,” I whispered sadly, but I doubted my own words.

Characters
Mrs. Jones:
She seems nice, pretty well developed. My only thing is you said that she was blonde. You didn't describe her beyond that point--at least not in this chapter. But her speaking habits remind me of a black chick--no racism in the comment, just a fact. Most black chicks aren't blonde. Here's something: if there's no reason--either race, region, or plot development wise--to make someone have an accent, don't give them an accent. Sometimes it's distracting, and you can already sense that Mrs. Jones is motherly, if that's the intended result.
Nina:
How old is she again? It's been a while since I checked chapter one. She seems kind of--OK, pretty--bratty, which may be the intended effect, but why is she? Does she have any motivation for that?
Aurora:
She seems to be developing fairly well. She seems distinct. My only problem--it's hard this early on to consider much character-wise a problem--is when she got the letter. I know she wants to know more about her mom, but would she really want to go right away? I mean, for all she knows the letter is a scam. Mrs. Jones included, wouldn't they want to do some checking up before upsetting Nina with the idea of it? And wouldn't they want to meet the people and find out if they really did know her mom, and find out what the thing her mom did for them was?
Overall
I really like this! (Believe me, I wouldn't spend so much time reviewing it all if I didn't.) You have a few problems with grammar, but they are easily fixed, and some of them I have difficulties with myself. I noticed that you don't really italicize, which is a very common thing. You might want to learn the rules to that, so as to fix the problem before it becomes a real one.
Again, I like this! Can't wait to read more.
