A hand reached out and grasped at her hair, her back arching in pleasure, she opened her stormy blue eyes as a gasp leaves her baby pink parted lips. He leans down to her ear as his movements never cease, he opens his mouth and-
Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep
Lily gasps and sits up, her hair wild, untamed, and very knotted. She looks around and puts a hand on her chest, feeling her heavily beating heart, she glances over to her bedside table and sees her alarm clock which had ruined her dream.
“Son of a bitch.” she curses under her breath and turns the alarm clock off. She runs a hand through her hair, noticing a thin layer of sweat covering her body. She looks down at her comforter and tries to regain control of her flushed and sweaty body when she sees a book out of the corner of her eye. She picks it up and thinks for a moment before mumbling, “That’s the last time I read smut before I go to bed, I don’t need any more wet dreams.” She places the book down and throws the covers off of her, standing up before she can retreat back to the safety of her warm bed.
Once the bed is made, and the book is put up on her nightstand, Lily heads to her bathroom to take a shower and wash the sweat off her body. She turns the speaker on and waits for her phone to connect before she puts her playlist on shuffle and heads into the scalding hot water.
After the shower she gets dressed in her usual work attire, wearing nice black slacks, some black heels, and a nice lilac button down shirt. Lily then does her makeup in a natural look and puts her hair up in a high ponytail once she has blown it dry. She heads to her car after locking her apartment and making sure she had everything and saying goodbye to her cat Dumpling. She heads to her favorite coffee shop and gets the usual order for her, her boss Mr. Wiles, and her favorite coworker. While she waits off to the side, one of the baristas walks over and starts to make small talk since the cafe was a semi-unpopular one despite the good tasting coffee.
“Hey Lilith!” Liam smiles his charming smile. Lily glances up fighting back her scowl and raises an eyebrow questiongly before replying, “Um… Hey Liam, how’s it going?” she asks only to keep the pleasantries up and not seem like a stuck up coffee inhaling bitch that Marcus Wiles, her boss’ son has dubbed her the second he saw her walking in with three different coffees, knowing one was for his father, her friend, and finally her own.
“It’s better now that you’re here.” Liam winks at her, right as she was gonna faux gag at his answer thankfully the coffee was done and she could take her leave. As she turns to leave after grabbing the coffee she calls out behind her. “Liam, I thought I told you to call me Lily, not Lilith.”
Shortly after the cafe, she arrives at the office of “Wiles Inc.” and heads inside, making sure she had her badge and keycard visible to the security guard, even though they were used to seeing her get in almost every morning at around 9:30. “Good morning Blake” she would usually greet him and head inside after flashing her badge for extra measure. Lily headed inside the building scanning her badge to take the elevator to the 6th floor where her favorite coworker, Sam, was located. She walks over to her cubicle and sees Sam with her head in her hands groaning in misery. Lily sets the cup down and laughs “Rough night last night Sam?” Sam whips her head up and glares playfully at Lily before taking a sip of her Chai tea “Oh shut up Lily, we both know I can’t hold my wine as good as you can Ms. Fancy Secretary Pants "Sam says as she waves Lily away dismissively. Lily laughs again before heading to the elevator and going up to the top floor where she scans her keycard on the door to Mr. Wiles’ office door after setting her own coffee down. She knocks on his door and enters into the large office that was made up of mostly windows, with a gorgeous view of the city.
She walks over to Mr. Wiles and sets his coffee down before taking a step back and flashing him a polite smile “Good morning Mr. Wiles, I hope you had a pleasant evening last night.” Mr. Wiles glances up and hums appreciatively at Lily while he takes a sip of his Americano, “Good morning and thank you Ms. Graves, I did have a pleasant evening. What is on the schedule today my dear?” Mr. Wiles always referred to her as my dear and it made her heart warm, she thought of Mr. Wiles as a sort of father figure from her time working there. Lily then went through his schedule making sure she didn’t miss anything, after finishing up she heads to her desk right outside of his office and sends him a copy of his schedule so he could have it just incase, but it seemed he preferred to always ask her what was next, which Lily never seemed to mind.
After about an hour of sorting through emails and scheduling meetings with other smaller companies, Lily hears the elevator open and a loud boisterous laughter come from it, Which could only mean one thing, Marcus Wiles was in the building.
