The house of diamonds
becomes a home when the moon wakes up.
A family that glitters in the dark,
where silver specks on midnight blue
come as one to shine as many.
But, oh, how I've wondered what they are.
I do wonder how they are.
For even the brightest of stars tell white lies
to keep up appearances,
each one so close yet so far away
from their brothers and sisters:
a loneliness masked for the grandeur.
They are but forgotten lighthouses
that still flicker in the black sea of space
to guide the lost to the found,
glowing white when all they want to do
is glow red.

OOh, this was a very vivid and beautiful poem here. It conveys a deep emotion, which really is any emotion. This poem could be for anger, for sadness, for despair or just the general feelings life brings. Interesting. The last sentence, especially, sent shivers up my spine. Short, sweet and none too boring. Well done!

This was my best part. love the way your imagination flows because the house of diamonds are stars and they become a home because the moon rays reflect on them and make them shine and live-able because its not dark anymore, making them a home. anyways, that's my interpretation.

i loved this part too. no one really takes the time to appreciate the beauty of stars anymore. and calling the dark sky (night sky) the black sea of space was impressive.

I like this. It shows that perfection is just a mask. Well in this case at least. I have a favorite line as well

I really like this. Looking in on what most consider "the perfect family", but you show that they aren't perfect. That they're broken or maybe just breaking.
My favorite line is:
"Even the brightest of stars tell white lies,
To keep up appearances."
I didn't notice any technical errors. I think it would be cool if you put in another two line stanza somewhere.
