Note: Someone asked me a long time ago to release Chapter 2, so here it is. Sorry it's been so long, I was deciding whether or not to publish it because I realized how cheesy it was. 😭 Please note that this is a COMEDY and is meant to be funny, so I'm sorry if none of this makes sense. Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hello, Ginny!” Hermione said in a cheery tone.
“Hi,” responded Ginny in a sad and worried tone. Ginny was already wearing her Hogwarts robes just like Hermione. Her hair went to her elbows. Her family had all the same features, freckles everywhere, and the best of all...ginger hair.
“I am worried about Ron and Harry! You too?” asked Hermione.
“No! It’s just that-” She stopped. “Where are Ron and Harry? I didn’t realize it.”
“I thought they would be with your family- Ohh! We've started to move!” She had only experienced this once, but it was always fun to do it. Hermione and Ginny felt the rumbling under them. Mrs. Weasley was waving to Ginny and her family, looking for Ron and Harry.
“Ginny? Let’s go check other compartments to find Ron and Harry,” said Hermione softly.
“Okay,” replied Ginny. Hermione and Ginny got out of their seats and headed to the door. The soft padding of the red rug was every step the girls took. They looked in every compartment, but no Ron or Harry. They met Fred and George and their best friend Lee Jordan, talking about where to set off dung bombs in the corridors of Hogwarts. So Hermione and Ginny head back to their compartment.
“Well, that was useless.” sighed Hermione as she took out the Standard Book of Spells (Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk). She started to reread the book and sighed. Ginny took a deep breath then asked,
“I’m worried about what house I am going to be in.”
“Oh. Well, I was frightened too. Your whole family is in Gryffindor! You have the biggest chance! Don’t worry! There’s no problem.” Hermione went right back to her book. Ginny looked depressed. Hermione’s eyes shot right to her bag of sugar-free sweets. She put her book down and took her bag of sweets.
“Ginny? Would you like sugar-free sweets?” Hermione asked timidly.
“Umm. Sure.” Ginny stared at the big bag of sweets. Her eyes became bigger with happiness. Hermione gave only the red and yellow ones to Ginny.
“Why are you only giving me the red and yellow ones?” asked Ginny, half angry, half confused.
“Because you want to be in Gryffindor!” replied Hermione cheerfully. “I am getting your hopes up! That’s what I did! I ate one right before I got sorted into Gryffindor! I’ve kept that superstition ever since.” Hermione smiled. “I think you’re going to be in Gryffindor. Tell me your favorite color. Then I’ll give you that color of candy!”
Ginny shook her head. “It’s top secret…”
“Ginny!” cried Hermione.
“...Unless…” Ginny continued “...you tell me how I get sorted into a house.”
Hermione shook her head, too. “I can’t either. That’s classified first year information.”
“Well, then what do we do?” sighed Ginny.
“The best thing to do in life!” declared Hermione “STUDY!”
There was silence.
“No?” said Hermione “Me too. I already did that.”
They both looked out the window. The train was passing by beautiful meadows and ravines. They were all green and full of grass and wheat, flowing in the wind. Ginny got bored and looked away. Hermione kept looking. After about one minute, she thought she saw a shadow on the grass. It looked strangely like a car. She got an idea.
“Ginny,” she began, “Harry and Ron could be doing anything right now. They could be rushing to finish their homework, to flying a car above us–”
“Wait, what? You mean Dad’s Ford Anglia?”
“And that’s just an idea!” continued Hermione “They could be having their own kind of fun–”
“Which I don’t understand.”
“Exactly!” agreed Hermione “We can sit on this train, waiting to arrive at Hogwarts…”
“Or we can stand up like true Gryffindors and enjoy this pleasant ride!” finished Ginny.
“That’s the spirit!” cheered Hermione.
“Sooooo,” said Ginny cooly. “Are you going to tell me how to get into Gryffindor, or not?”
“No,” replied Hermione in a toneless voice.
“Why?” Ginny said with a hint of a plea in her voice. Ginny sighed. She stared at the shadow of the car. It looked like Harry was holding on to a handle, door wide open, clinging on for his life.
“HARRY!” Ginny screeched.
“Wha-” Hermione looked at Harry. “Harry!” She looked puzzled. But Ron got Harry’s arm and pulled him up.
“Those boys. Why are they even in a car?!” Hermione sighed.“ Okay, fine. To be in Gryffindor, you just have to be yourself.”
“Be myself at a battle with nine truck-sized trolls, trying to fall in love with an angry house-elf, and take a three-hour test on all the kinds of Quidditch fouls?!?!” asked Ginny insanely.
There was another long silence.
“What,” breathed Hermione, smiling a little. “Did Fred and George tell you? Because that is not what you do to get sorted. You just put a sorting hat on your head and- tell you?” Hermione stopped. She just realized what she said.
“Ohh. So that's how you do it. Thanks!”
Another silence.
“So let’s get on with the Gryffindor train party!” said Ginny, trying to change the subject.
“Exactly!” replied Hermione, following the spirit. She took out her wand. “Let’s start with a festive compartment! Confettitra!
Magical confetti burst out of Hermione’s wand, (magical because it changed colors) and showered the whole compartment.
“That’s wonderful!” said Ginny, clapping.“Now, what do we do?”
“The best thing ever,” whispered Hermione. Then she bellowed, “READ OUR NEW BOOKS!” She struck a strange pose in which she was reading a book with a raised eyebrow, and her fist in the air.
“Really?” asked Ginny, smiling. “Really, Hermione?”
“YES!!!” replied Hermione loudly “Take out Travels with Troll-”
There was a squeaking noise, and the compartment door opened. A boy was standing there. Round-faced and forgetful. He looked worried. But, he was always worried.
“May I sit?” asked Neville Longbottom, biting his lip. He didn’t wait for an answer. He closed the door and rushed to a seat next to Ginny.
“Are you okay, Neville?” asked Hermione. “What happened?”
Neville shivered. “Malfoy was going on about my gran.”
“Good thing you got here in time,” said Ginny “The lady with the cart is coming. You don’t want to miss her!”
Hermione took a big breath. She even got herself surprised when she said, “Malfoy is the biggest git in the world. He and his-”
“Granger. Don’t want to be saying such rude things.” said a drawling voice. Draco Malfoy stood in the doorway finally with his potatoes, Crabbe and Goyle. He looked at the confetti. “Ohh. You’ve had a party. The creation of The Loser Gang. Or should I say The Muggle Juggle? Or,” he said, looking at Ginny “The Harry Potter Fan Club!” he laughed. “Being a know-it-all means you are with the most boring people.” Malfoy's piercing gaze made Hermione shut the compartment door so hard that it opened back up. Malfoy fell to the ground, hitting his head. He ran back to his friends. Hermione giggled.
“You’re right. I’m always with the most boring people. You!”
Neville and Ginny gaped at her.
“Neville. Never. Ever. Let Malfoy annoy you again.” warned Hermione, turning around.
“Blimey! What are we going to do?” gasped Neville, clutching his stomach.
“Read our books. That’s what she said,” replied Ginny, smiling.
“Ohh no! I forgot my books!” said Neville. “I only remembered to bring THE STANDARD BOOK OF SPELLS GRADE 1! NOOOO!” He bellowed so loud that Ginny jumped up in her chair.
“Neville. Your Gran will send your books back! Don’t worry. I have some other books here.” retorted Hermione. “We have Gilderoy Lockheart as our teacher this year!” Hermione squealed.
“I wonder what he’ll teach us? Maybe we’ll see a banshee!” said Ginny.
“Or a Vampire? ”
“Or Yeti?”
“Or a Werewolf?”
“Or nothing,” said Neville, sighing.
Hermione started to think. She was thinking so hard, she looked stern.
“Hermione, are you okay?” asked Ginny cautiously.
Hermione looked up.
“I have an idea.”
Salutations, curious mind!
Rinisha here, ready to dive into the pages of this intriguing story. Let's dive into the world between these covers and see what secrets and wonders await us. 📚!
I'm here to leave you a review on this incredible piece. Buckle up, 'cause we're diving into my review magic! ✨
The Good Stuff:
First of all, let's talk about the parts that really rocked!
I must admit, I’m a Harry Potter lover myself, so this just made my day!
I read Chapter one before this and I must say you have quite an interesting fanfiction going on here. (Although Hermione is not my favourite character, but Draco is, no worries.) I really enjoyed reading this, your dialogues fit nicely with each of the characters and I think you're doing a great job so far.
Areas to Improve:✒️
I realised that you only show Hermione's point of view, it would be nice if you did something like this:
“Ginny? Let’s go check other compartments to find Ron and Harry,” said Hermione softly.
“Okay,” replied Ginny. Hermione and Ginny got out of their seats and headed to the door. The soft padding of the red rug was every step the girls took. They looked in every compartment, but no Ron or Harry. They met Fred and George and their best friend Lee Jordan, talking about where to set off dung bombs in the corridors of Hogwarts. So Hermione and Ginny head back to their compartment.
“Well, that was useless.” sighed Hermione as she took out the Standard Book of Spells (Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk). She started to reread the book and sighed. Ginny took a deep breath then asked,
“I’m worried about what house I am going to be in.”
***
On the other hand Harry was panicking, because he was driving a muggle car of Mr. Weasley without permission. “Ron! What did you say were the brakes again?” Ron’s eyes turned big and he said, “Bloody hell, I forgot. The brakes aren't working, I think,” he said slowly with one hand ruffling his hair. Harry screamed. “What do you mean, the brakes aren't working’, YOU THINK!”
Suddenly they saw the Hogwarts Express passing on the rails, “If we go faster, we could reach it just in time.” Ron said as he pointed to the train who was now going into full speed.
***
“Oh. Well, I was frightened too. Your whole family is in Gryffindor! You have the biggest chance! Don’t worry! There’s no problem.” Hermione went right back to her book. Ginny looked depressed. Hermione’s eyes shot right to her bag of sugar-free sweets. She put her book down and took her bag of sweets.
“Ginny? Would you like sugar-free sweets?” Hermione asked timidly.
“Umm. Sure.” Ginny stared at the big bag of sweets. Her eyes became bigger with happiness. Hermione gave only the red and yellow ones to Ginny.
“Why are you only giving me the red and yellow ones?” asked Ginny, half angry, half confused.
That way, we can read from various perspectives what's happening, but if you want to keep Hermione in the spotlight, that's fine too.
I think that’s the only suggestion/improvement I could give you, for the rest it was wowsome.
Nailed It!💐
I love this part!
“Be myself at a battle with nine truck-sized trolls, trying to fall in love with an angry house-elf, and take a three-hour test on all the kinds of Quidditch fouls?!?!” asked Ginny insanely.
There was another long silence.
“What,” breathed Hermione, smiling a little. “Did Fred and George tell you? Because that is not what you do to get sorted. You just put a sorting hat on your head and- tell you?” Hermione stopped. She just realized what she said.
You absolutely nailed this part! This is exactly something that the Weasley twins would tell Ginny. I love that very much, I really had myself in stitches. 🤣
Overall Feelings:
You are doing an amazing job so far, I like your superstition too, that's a nice detail. You have great content, great inspiration and an amazing writing style. I would definitely recommend you to continue this story, I'm totally in for chapter three.
Draco Malfoy: The Unlikely Hero by Me.
He is a fictional character in the Harry Potter series created by author J.K.Rowling.
He is a wizard who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with the-boy-who-lived and his friends, Crab and Goyle. From his introduction in the first book, he’s a character who initially comes across as arrogant and cruel, he is a bully, a bigot and a snob who thinks he’s better than everyone else because of his pure-blood heritage.
But as the readers delve deeper into his story, they find a complex and multi-dimensional character who defies expectations and they begin to see that there is more to him that meets the eye. He is a character who challenges readers' perceptions and invites them to see the world through a different lens. He is a young man struggling to find his place in the world and live up to his father’s expectations. He is also fiercely intelligent, talented and determined.
I can understand if you see Draco Malfoy as a bully, but this is just some essay I wrote on him some time ago. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Have a nice day or night further! Keep writing! You are amazing!
Amazingly yours,
Hi Rinisha, thank you so much for the review!
I love the color-coding, I hope you continue to use that! Thanks for the suggestion, although what I was trying to do was make it mainly Hermione%u2019s perspective, as we already read Harry and Ron%u2019s in the book. I did skim that article you wrote about Draco Malfoy%u2026when I get the chance, I will read it in more detail and review it! Thanks again!
P.S. Sorey this is so late, I kept forgetting to reply.
I’m a sucker for old school Harry Potter fan fiction so I couldn’t resist when I saw this in the Green Room. I’ve read the previous chapter just now so I should be all up to date. It did tickle me that you named Hermione’a parents after the actors when we know they have other names xD
Anyway, let’s get on with chapter two!
I don’t think I realised Hermione would know Ginny at this point. The two become firm friends later, sure, but have they really spent any time together by now? They seem quite friendly with each other (although Ginny is aptly shy).
The red and yellow sweet thing was cute, but it didn’t seem in keeping with Hermione’s character for me. I would expect her to use logic and reasoning and whilst she might be sympathetic to the nerves and stress I wouldn’t picture her using the vibes of sweets. She also uses a lot of exclamation marks, which again seemed a little out of character.
I like the interaction with Malloy and his goons. It builds quite well for what we all know is going to happen in book three!
This is a fun concept and I hope to catch more chapters soon :)
Icy
Hi, thank you for the review!
Good point, Hermione probably wasn%u2019t that good friends with Hermione at this point. Thanks for pointing it out!
And yeah, the red and yellow thing is a little weird. But I wrote this a super long time ago just for fun, so yeah. Thanks again for reviewing!
Heey foxmaster here for a review!
Finally, chapter two is out! hooray! To help you feel better, it wasn't that cheesy, just a little bit. Overall, though, I feel like you didn't really describe this too well, because suddenly in this chapter things were happening all over the place so quickly I was confused a bit.
Some moments I was a bit lost at was like here:
“The best thing to do in life!” declared Hermione “STUDY!”
There was silence.
“No?” said Hermione “Me too. I already did that.”
and here,
“Why?” Ginny said with a hint of a plea in her voice. Ginny sighed. She stared at the shadow of the car. It looked like Harry was holding on to a handle, door wide open, clinging on for his life.
“HARRY!” Ginny screeched.
“Wha-” Hermione looked at Harry. “Harry!” She looked puzzled. But Ron got Harry’s arm and pulled him up.
“Those boys. Why are they even in a car?!” Hermione sighed.“ Okay, fine. To be in Gryffindor, you just have to be yourself.”
Here, I was having trouble processing the things that were happening and seemed like there were some really sudden changes.
“Granger. Don’t want to be saying such rude things.” said a drawling voice. Draco Malfoy stood in the doorway finally with his potatoes, Crabbe and Goyle. He looked at the confetti. “Ohh. You’ve had a party. The creation of The Loser Gang. Or should I say The Muggle Juggle? Or,” he said, looking at Ginny “The Harry Potter Fan Club!” he laughed. “Being a know-it-all means you are with the most boring people.” Malfoy's piercing gaze made Hermione shut the compartment door so hard that it opened back up. Malfoy fell to the ground, hitting his head. He ran back to his friends. Hermione giggled.
[/quote]
This paragraph seems like a big change from the other, rather short segments, and it seems to kind of break up the flow, so I would split it up a little.
But, overall, I'm glad that chapter two is finally out, and I enjoyed this.
Hi foxmaster, thank you for the review!
Yeah, I wrote this a super long time ago so my writing was not that good, and my friend and I were basically just writing for fun. Thanks again!
