Life is here and it's now.
It's in my fingertips.
It's in the breath that I take and the thoughts that cross my mind
As I try to find the words inside my skull,
As I search for a point that's buried beneath a heavy conscience and a heap of fear.
Life is here and it's gone.
With the curtain call of a tortured soul,
And a standing ovation that's flooded with tears.
The audience is placed stage right, remote in hand.
They say,
"Nothing in life is fair,"
It was the way he walked,
The way he talked.
They say,
"The signs were always there."
It was a typical tragedy,
A predictable ending.
They say,
"The trench coat gave it all away."

Hey,
I liked you poem a lot. I found out about this tradgey around 8 last night. I called all my friends to tell them (I am probably the only out of them all that watches the news) and we all found it some what ironic. In school that day, we were going over the procders if something like that was to ever happen here.
I hope their souls rest in peace.
