My Sugar Plum Fairy

PreviousNext

Her melodic laughter fills the field with sparks of purple glitter, the light so clear you fail to see accurately.

Her eyes so green, glistening like dewdrops after fallen rain; her hair as blonde as the radiating sun.

She flutters into the field with such grace you are suddenly unable to respire; she dances upon the very orchid dandelions in which you lay.

She leaps perfectly with her dense toes among the flowers; dipping, twirling, posing.

Her heart knows no fear, so neither shall you. But she leaves you clueless as she dances around you.

How I love my Sugar Plum Fairy, for she leaves me as a wolf in sheeps clothing.

With her I will meet lovely people, or another victim to pursue.

The title is so pretty :)
And the poem is, too!

All I'd suggest is working on that structure.
It's not really very... poem'y at the moment. :)

But the imagery - and the title - is just lovely :D :D

Hi there :)
I really liked the imagery of this poem. You create a beautiful picture.
I'm a little confused as to what it's about though.

Her heart knows no fear, so neither shall you. But she leaves you clueless as she dances around you.

How I love my Sugar Plum Fairy, for she leaves me as a wolf in sheeps clothing.

With her I will meet lovely people, or another victim to pursue.
In these lines I don't really know what's going on. Maybe you could make it a little clearer somehow? Or maybe I'm just too tired and I'm missing something, I don't know. XD

'Like' and 'equal' are two entirely different things.
