The Last Poem

I watch the clock as the hours tick by,
Barely realizing that I’m still alive.
Our time is limited I know,
But please don’t leave before I show you,
that you make my heart glow.
I love you one and then,
I pray that we will be together again.
As we say our last goodbyes,
I’m just really glad you were in my life.
I know it’ll be hard when you go,
But I'll just have to learn to let you go.
I love you now and then,
Please, oh please, remain my closest friend...

Hey Jlmoc!!

This is Eros here to review your sweet poem!!

Let me say something about the title first. The title of the poem, "The Last Poem" reminds me immidiately about a chapter in ou English Textbook named, "The last Lesson". This is very very different from it. The chapter talked about France. When it was not independant, the language of France was banned to be taught in school. And the French teacher teaches that last lesson in a most beautiful way. The students listened to him very nicely and carefully, and finally the teacher writes, "Vive La France" on the black barod and gestures that the school is dismissed. The importance of mother tongue is expessed in that chapter. Anyways, that was very different. Your title, I mean the title of your sweet poem is very apt. It suits th poem.

I liked the sweetness of the poem. It expresses about the deep love for the person, who is your best-est friend. Friends matter us lot. And I loved the your thoughts of learning to let the person go, as you say in the third last line.

Nice poem!
Keep Going!
We all love to read your suff

I quite enjoyed this piece. It seems really heartfelt and beautiful. I do suggest that you change the line "I love you one and then". That line just seems to confuse the reader more than anything. I also recommend you change one of the "go" in this line: "I know it’ll be hard when you go,But I'll just have to learn to let you go." Repeating a word the next line flows off throw. I thought that adding the "......" at the end was a good way to finish this poem. It foreshadowed the future but also gave a wave to the past. When it comes to writing poetry you don't have to capitalize the beginning of every line, remember it's still a sentence even if there is a break so it's not appropriate to capitalize. All in all I adored this poem! There was a lot of emotion and truth in these few lines and I really admire that!
Keep writing- Tori

I only have time for a super-super quick review but I liked this and thought I'd drop by to say so :D
"I love you one and then."
This was the only part of this poem that didn't really seem to fit. You should change it to something that has a closer number of syllables to that of the other lines, and to something that just sounds a little better. Other than that this is a very sweet and sincere little poem :) I can tell that you love this person dearly and that you'll struggle to let them go, but in the end you'll both be okay. This is more optimistic than it first seems and I do really like it.
Keep on writing 'cos you're awesome and stuff
