It was short and simple. The message was executed clearly. I liked it and thought it was funny. It sounds like something you would read in Alice and Wonderland.

It took me about three reads to actually understand what this said.

Whoa, this is getting a lot of love....even getting them teary eyed (what?).

Well, it does nothing to me. It's a basic idea executed in.......two sentences. Sigh.

I could seriously review all the reviews this had and just point out classic examples of "reading too much into things".

I guess this is just not for me.

Ah this was great! We dear humans must start to learn our method of communication when we are VERY young. It's no wonder the whole thing is SO complicated, huh?

So I have a few comments on this: A: You need to make it bigger so as to have a proper poem, and B: your spelling is horrible and needs a million tons of work. I'll go into minimal detail and advise you to ignore my suggestions.

Your size needs to be bigger because this is just two lines. That's not enough by my watch -personal watch. But nice job. The two lines, in their own way, were really nice. Two many more lines and things would have turned out wrong.

Okay, for your spelling:

if werds wer just speld az thay sownd,

ther wood bee mor reeders arownd.

'if' and 'just' were both spelled correctly. You could try 'ef' and 'jest'? Impressively good grammar for such horrid spelling, I must admit.

i never lernd to spel good

'never', 'good', and 'to' were both spelled right. You could use 'nayver' and 'gewd' and 'two' . . . :P

Great work! Remember to keep writing!

Reading this made me realize how crazy our English language is. Other languages are different. You write the way you speak.

Example. The Polish language. You say Dzien Dobry and you write Dzien Dobry.

English is way more complicated than that. You speak differently than the way you write. If you spoke the way you wrote, it would be funny. Like what you just wrote up there.

It's funny. I was just talking about this with my co-worker today. Lol. But anyway. This made me remember that. This proves how weird our language is. Oh, English.

Well I must say, this is one of the most riveting, heart-wrenching poems I have read in an EXCEPTIONALLY long time. Usually, I don't stop to review, just read and continue on my way, but this is absolute poetic genius. The parallel of the reader to the human spirit is just sheer brilliance, and the immaculate word play scattered throughout kept me hooked from beginning to end (not to mention the thrilling twist halfway through). Honestly, you should see about getting your work published professionally, as you could have a very promising career in literature ahead of you. Please keep up your work! I can't wait to see what else a prodigious mind like yours has to offer us!

This is just too funny! It's bringing tears to my eyes.

Alright I love I everything about this! The title immediately made me want to click on it and read it. This is the second time I read a short poem and it had a lot of meaning. But you could always right more. *hint hint*

There were no mistakes that I found other than misspelled words but that's on purpose so I'll let it slide.

Great job!

Happy Writing,
Cgirl

Thanks for just making my day!

I loved the title, and I loved the content.

Even though it was a little confusing to read the intentionally misspelled words, it was fun to do as well. I'm surprised at how much humor you have managed to pack into three lines (I'm counting the title here).

And as for what mb1221 said, I largely agree with her assessment. This is far to short, and not what I expected at all (since I was expecting a full length poem, not just a few lines. But then, who's to say exactly what a full length poem is?) I think that you would benefit from making it longer, and the sarcasm you seem to have here can be very a powerful tool. Use it more often.

Well, it's a little hard to critique you on your grammar and spelling isn't it?

And with that, I leave you. Welcome to YWS, and I hope that you add on to this and write more like it in the future.

Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust,

HT

Thanks for the review, but this was just kind of a joke poem. I'll think about what you said though... Maybe I'll rewrite it in a different way.

I think that's it's very good as it is, but I would like to see it expanded. I see a lot of potential here. But it's your work, so do what you feel is best.

Hi, mb1221 is here to review this piece.

First of all, the title is so catchy. But to be honest, when I read the poem, I was kinda disappointed, because this is in fact too short. You can make it much longer by using a little bit of sarcasm maybe, making fun of how in most languages, including English, the words have weird spellings and pronunciations. :) You could have also talked about the ONLY 2 UNIQUE LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD that are in fact pronounced the way they are spelled.

This poem has a lot of good humorous potential. As I said, you might want to consider making it much longer and you will end up with a great piece. Welcome to Young Writers Society. Keep writing, and let me know if you need other stuff to be reviewed. :)

Thanks for the review! I probably should have made it clear that this poem was just a little joke, nothing serious, but I'm considering rewriting it with your and Homeschooled Teen's critiques. Thanks!
