**I was inspired to write this poem when I saw an American flag hanging in a snow-covered cemetery.**
It's Christmas, dear
The snow is falling
Our fireplace is lit
I brought you a present
It looks nice on your marker
This poinsettia for the season
I put your medal up
It looks nice on the mantle
Everyone compliments it
It has gotten cold, now
I should be heading home
Merry Christmas, love

Hello Emi. This is a very beautiful poem. However, I do want to mention one thing before I begin the review. Looking at your profile, it appears that your review to work ratio is 1:1, where it should be 3:1.
This is a very beautiful first stanza, however, I think you mention the fact somewhere about "You" in this poem being gone.
(e.g. your velvet chair is blank)
What is marker supposed to mean in this stanza?
Ironically enough, your last line doesn't really seem to "compliment" the rest of stanza. If you must keep it, I would re-write it with saying how beautiful it looks.
I love this part.
Anyway, Please PM me if you have any questions.
Grrr its small so there might not be a lot for me to say...Anyways.
I love how you never say that the person is gone, nor that you miss them... just that you are honoring them and still loving them...
And I love how its at the grave site... And it doesn't sound all that sad.
I liked a lot of this.
The only thing I can ask for in this, is that who is the dead person? A little description of them would help to make it much better, well in my eyes atleast.(don't listen, because I lost my glasses)
Nice write. Keep writing.
