I waited for you
Every night of every day of my life
I waited for you
My heart beating in time to yours though we had yet to meet
I waited for you
Days, turning to years and each day we get closer
I waited for you
Now you are here, now we are together
I waited for you
You were more than worth the wait

Hello!
You have the perfect combination of poetry I like to see.
1. Good length
2. Good structure
3. I like the way you omitted punctuation to make it flow better
Short poems of this kind usually work best because there isn't *that* much to say. And you've concisely given a point about the motivation of this poem:
Also, I think the clever use of repetition has helped you avoid sounding cliche in this work. Good job, keep writing.

Thank you! I tend to keep the punctuation out of my poems, unless I "feel" it is needed. I always expect to be reading it aloud to someone so to me the punctuation would be something more natural *shrugs* But, thank you so much for the review and I do hope to continue pleasing you with my future work.
Your poetry is absolutely wonderful. As someone with no poetic talent whatsoever, I can't help but be a bit envious.

Maybe it's typical or a bit cliché, but I picture love. Maybe someone is waiting for their love to come home from war? Maybe they are on a business trip? Or, it might not even be love but for a friend they have not seen in a long time? The possibilities are endless; I love the fact that's so open like that. It is important to leave such things up to the imagination of the reader.
It's just... wonderful. I can't say that enough.
Thanks! I am glad that you are able to relate my work to several different avenues. It is about love and yeah I am bit cliche and sappy myself. I really appreciate your review and hope that I continue to please you with my future works.
Though you already know my feelings on this piece, I'll write them again to make them all the more permanent:
This poem is perfect.
Each word was written with purpose, and its formatting emphasizes that. You make the reader feel what you felt for that person, the waiting game that we humans do when we've found that perfect one. One of my books had a quote in it that made this all the more real to me: "We're women. We wait."
You've taken waiting and painted a scene with it. You made waiting something that, even for me (with no patience), I'd want to do if it meant meeting that special someone that I could spend the rest of my life with.
I waited for yet another perfect piece from you and I received no less.
Well done.
As always, I do value your opinion and enjoy it when you review my work. Thanks for the review and I am so happy that you enjoyed my work.
Hello, Eferhilda.
Kanome here with a review for you.
I like the repetitiveness in the poem. "I waited for you" That line works so well in this poem, I honestly would never be able to this kind of thing with my writing.
Also, I love the wording in your poem, it flows very well.
I see no grammar or content errors in this poem, so I give this a plus, plus, plus!
Keep up the great work, I can't wait to read more of your work c:
P.S This poem almost made me cry because of how cute it was to me. Dx
Thank you! I means a lot to me when my work is enjoyed, even if it may make people cry...
