Love Undeserved

I don't deserve love

I am hateful

I am sinful

I am not trustworthy,

Yet I am loved.

I was against God

Yet he loved me.

I hated him

Yet he loved me.

I worked against him

Yet he loved me.

I was something to be despised

Yet he loved me.

I was filthy in sin

Yet he loved me.

My sin beat Him

Scorned Him

Mocked Him

Killed Him

Yet he loved me.

His love shines through

In my family

In my friends

In my Lady Beloved

And it will endure forever and ever

So now I believe

And that love shines in me.

Never can I go so far away or be so filthy that God will stop loving me. Nothing can seperate me from his love, not even me.

"We love because He (God) first loved us." 1 John 4:19

I truly do love this poem and it's meaning. It wasn't what I, or maybe anyone, expected. Yet it was interesting talking about your spiritual love religious wise rather than love for a human being on earth.

This can relate to many people, including me, because a lot of people struggle through finding and understanding their religion.

Keep up the great work :)

Hey,

the last lines "His love... in me", are way beyond any reviews.
the feel of serenity deep inside me is a rare thing; yet it got me that divine touch after a long time.
Keep up your art of tranquility. let go all your thoughts like ripples of revival
:)
May the Almighty show the utmost Mercy n love not only for u,but also for every single entity on this mundane earth.

Hey,

Wow this wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

I like the idea... But it got kinda weird when you said you fought against him... That's a little intense.

I thought this was going to be some weird romance poem, but it was religious.

I like to think that in the end, you mean that you went back to God and asked forgiveness and felt his love. So if that is the case, can you make it more clear? I had to really reach to even see it, so maybe I'm wrong. I dunno.

I hope you came back to God. I love God so much and I'm grateful for him and his Son. Thanks for letting me review your poem. Have a great day.

Thanks for the review.

I was going for an intense statement when I say that I fought against Him. The actions may not be so violent but I was not helping the message spread in any way at the time.

In the lines: "So now I believe/And that love shines in me." is me returning to God and following Him.

I just wanted to clarify these things for you and thanks for the suggestion.

Okay that makes more sense :) Have a good day

poetry can make me feel others thought in a better way. It's something that can touch one and has power of splashing through our mind.

I really like the subject of your poetry. And the last verse is splendid. The construction of beat is spectacular of your poem. I loved the way you did metric those verse.

Yeah, may be you could keep more diversity in the structure of your poem. But over all it was good work.Hope, you'll gift us more fascinating and creative work. Keep writing! Wish you all the best. :)
