I've just finished the book, and I have to say I really, really liked it. It was so different from the other ones I've read. I almost felt like I was feeling all the feelings for Astrid, while she was pondering her situations. The little bits of hope made me cry, as well as Astrid's thoughts about herself. It was touching to see how she struggled to find herself, and showing that she's not perfect.
White Oleander is one of the best books I've ever read. I'd be glad to hear some of your thoughts about it. For those who haven't read it, I highly recommend it. Especially if you're thinking you're having hard time.
