Cries Of A Canyon

The first poem I have ever written, got kind of inspired by a beautiful picture of a canyon and just thought this up!

Orphans we are, our mother left us many million moons ago and every day since we have shed bloody tears for her.

There are many of us yet in the winter nothing can give us warmth, for we cannot touch our brothers or sisters.

Freedom is what we yearn, yet bound are we to a single unshifting plane till the day we crumble; oh may that day come with haste.

We long for the day our mother returns, she seldom does so from the skies, yet never in the way we used to remember her.

Many ages have we lived through and have grown tired now, soon may there be a saviour to put an end to our millenia long suffering.

I absolutely love this. I like that the perspective isn't from a human stand point. I'm not really good at giving reviews/critiques & I don't really see any mistakes or anything you could change. But this is simply amazing
