E - Everyone

Remembering you was only but a dream.

Help me please.

I'm scared.

I hurt you and now it's over.

Everything that has been said.

Everything that has been written.

Every single whisper and smile.

Gone.

All the fights that we shared

All the tear stained cheeks.

Vanished.

Thinking about every memory and nothing comes to mind.

So help me, please.

I need to remember you,

because not remembering you is hurting you

and watching you get hurt,

hurts me.

Everything has disappeared.

So does it really matter?

It doesn’t matter, but it does.

Can we assume it was all but a dream?

I can't fight you,

this,

everything or

anything anymore.

I am sorry.

I'm letting go.

It's time to move on.

No more memories.

Just a one beautiful dream.

Hello CapitalMonday here for a review. i like to begin how the tone of this poem is to want something but when you dream of what you want, you can never get it. Also how the person is confused with the feelings they are feeling (i am guessing that is how you have wrote it). Also how many people could relate since we all could have been through this some point in life, confused about what we love/hate, who are friends/foes might be, and favorites/least thing we enjoyed throughout life.

Nitpick(s):

I can't fight you/this the this is just in the middle of no where. Which stanza does this "this" go? Maybe try putting it in one of the stanzas above/below it.

Overall, i enjoyed the way you make the person confuse about their feeling for their love. Hating to see them sad but most of the memories that this person has of their love, are just the sad ones and the person (i think) wants to them be hurt again, just to feel what its like one more time.

My best friend can relate to this. It's a powerful poem that a lot of women can feel towards there loved ones.
I enjoyed so much, this reminds me a lot of my ex-boyfriend.
" can't fight you,

this,

I am sorry.

I'm letting go.

It's time to move on. "

It took me awhile to learn to move on from my first love and this poem reminds me of every love I tried to walk away from and struggled too. This poem was great. Has this happen to you, because some people right poems not based on them but just an emotion they can relate too. So have you ever felt this way? The way your poem speaks to us as the readers?

Yes, I have felt this way. Heck, I still feel this way. It is a process of me forgetting all the memories of what happened, but I know at the end it will be for the best. I always have to constantly remind myself that there were good memories and I can't let heart break consume all those good memories and just leave me with sad ones. It is a journey, but it's a journey I'm willing to take in order for me to be stronger at the end.

Also, I hope you and your friend are okay. It is difficult. My relationship with God and also writing has helped me so much. I really hope you and your friend are okay.

I am so sorry to you too, you are strong.

Hi!
I really like this poem and how it transitions smoothly from trying to repair what is lost to finally letting go. You can really capture the emotion of the speaker.

Might I suggest stanzas though? You seem to have separate thoughts instead of one all the way through, so breaking it up into stanzas seems a bit more plausible so that the reader can now when you are moving onto another idea.

"Thinking about every memory and nothing comes to mind.

So help me, please."

Possibly a stanza here?

"Everything has disappeared.

So does it really matter?"

Or a stanza in between here?

Just a suggestion but please think on it!

Overall, this work was great! Hope to see more from you soon!

Yes, thank you for your review. I am not really that great at stanzas. Poems are my weaknesses this was just words that I just typed but I will definitely work on this! :)

No problem! And message me whenever you need help because I love writing poems!

Hey there!
I see that this is the first poem you have posted. Its quite good and i liked the way you brought out the emotions, of losing and trying to move on.

"I need to remember you,

because not remembering you is hurting you

and watching you get hurt,

hurts me."

I particularly liked this line. Its just so beautiful and I can relate to it so much cause it feels exactly like this.

"So does it really matter.

It doesn't matter, but it does."

I somehow felt that this line was confusing or maybe you wanted to purposely create a kind of confusion so that its easier to understand what is going on and the emotions linked with it.

"No more memories.

Just a one beautiful dream."

This is also very beautiful. I loved it!

The only thing that I felt needs changing is the title which I somehow don't find exactly relevant. Maybe you could use something which fully describes the despair and anguish.

Keep it up and let me know when you post more!

Thank you for your review and the wrote that is confusing is supposed to be confusing because the person is confused with all the emotions and words that are flying around :)

Maybe what most people wanted wasn't immortality and fame, but the reassurance that their existence had meant something. No matter how long... or how brief. Maybe being eternal meant becoming a story worth telling.
