Before I get into the song, I would like to put out a disclaimer: I did not write this song... the lady in my dream did.
One night I was having a dream that I was in a jazz club. On stage was a lady in a red dress and a pianist. The song she was singing was beautiful. Then I thought to myself in the dream, "I like this song. Where did it come from? Wait a minute... this song doesn't exist. I need to wake up and write this down." So I woke up at 2:30 AM and wrote down the lyrics and sang it into my phone so I wouldn't forget how the melody went. I wrote the whole thing out later and it's one of my favorite pieces. Enjoy!
