The world hates the weak,
hates the strong, the meek, the proud,
the good, the evil.
But the world is made
for you to be a mixture,
not a single trait.
Don't be defined by,
known by one character trait,
strive to be a mix.
You! Go be the weak,
the strong, the meek, the proud,
the good, the evil.
A man is not one,
not two, not three, but is a
man of a mixture.

HI!
I have to say, the first few lines are really captivating. They made me want to read more.
However, I feel like we haven't really gotten much out of it.
I really liked the tempo and the kind of rhythm you had going, the command etc
However, I feel like
The first two stanzas are basically saying the same thing in different wording which is basically that the world wants us to be a mixture of personalities.
The third tells us not to be defined by one character trait but we don't really know why we should be a mix? what's bad about being defined by a character trait etc and the fourth stanza. Who is 'You'? When I read it, I thought it referred to people who told us to be defined by one character trait. Maybe you were saying they should be defined by one character trait and see how they like it? I don't really understand though.
The last stanza also baffles me to be honest. How is a man, a man of mixture? Didn't you just say we should strive to be since we aren't?
I love the structure and what the poem is trying to say but after reading it, I just feel confused and not like my breath had been taken away and you're a talented writer. You should always make people feel blown away.
With a few improvements, you could have a really good piece here.
Keep writing!
Hm. This is leaving me pondering. Because while you are a very talented writer and this poem is good, I'm not sure if i like it.
And that's not supposed to be an insult. Let me try to explain... I'm not sure how well I'll do though
-" The world hates the weak, hates the strong, the meek, the proud, the good, the evil." That was GOOD. Like I was hooked and ready to read more. Then we got to the second line, and it was like I loosed the breath I was holding. I felt like I was holding a breath and then exhaling in something like disappointment with how calmly everything was resolved.
The same thing happened with "You! Go be the weak, the strong, the meek, the proud, the good, the evil." It was a call to action! I was ready! And then... the last line hit.
I feel like you have really powerful things to say. Like, REALLY powerful. And with some tweaks, this could be breath-taking. This poem built the reader up and made them feel something, and at the peak of it you suffocated it with passive words. Certain parts are excellent, though! You're doing a good job.
Hope this helped!
Thank you for your review, suggestions, and time. Thank you for pointing out how the effect of the first section was taken away from the rest.
Hi.
I really like the way that you space it out and the stanzas. It has kind of a repetive beat to it, so to say. I like how in parts it seemed comanding! You seemed to put a lot of effort and though into this. Overall, your poem is up to par with a professinal poet. I wonder how long you have been writing poetry.? If you are new at this, then this is fantastic! Very nice work
At first, the poem confused me. Then, I reread it. Your message is that many diffrent quailites make up a person, wich is very true. We have both good and bad qualites. In a sense we are like 3D characters.
Keep up the good work! You seem to have 'a thing' with poetry.
Keep writing!
Thank you for your review, suggestions, and time. Thank you for your encouragement! I actually have not written much poetry at all, in fact, this is the first (and at the current time) only piece of poetry I have put on the Internet.
Wow! Then your poerty is very good. Kudo's to you.
