IMPLICATIONS OF SUICIDE AND A BIT OF SELF-HARM TOWARDS THE END
The book laid upon silk sheets the color of copper, copper was the color of her eyes.
The book's title was "Filius nullius, filia nullius", he loved Medieval Latin.
Clearly, the world finds my misery funny, everything reminds me of them.
The reminders seem intentional, someone up above must be laughin'
It could be one of them, of course they would find a way to mess with me even after their passin'.
Or maybe the sorrow was just killing my sanity like an assassin.
They embraced me when I told them I didn't feel like a male nor did I feel like a female.
She bought me chest binders on days I felt more manful.
He helped me pick out my dresses on days I felt more womanly.
Going through the rest of life without them is unfortunately going to be a handful.
They’ve had to have done this on purpose, this feels like a leg-pull.
I yield, okay? You’ve succeeded in making my life gloomful.
You’ve already taken them away from me, what more could you want?
The rest of my sanity, the rest of my loved ones, or to take me to my mother and father?
If it’s alright with you, i’d prefer the last option, no matter how it’s done
Until then, I’ll remain in the strand’s biting saltwater.
I can no longer feel the stinging, I now instead feel honor.
Pain, physical and emotional, will be something that I feel no longer.
Because I’ll soon again be somebody’s son, somebody’s daughter.
This poem is told from the perspective of someone who is gender fluid. I am not gender fluid myself so if it seems like I made the character seem like a stereotype or just seemed a little bit insensitive, please let me know ! I asked my gender fluid friend how it looked and if there was anything wrong, and they told me it looked fine-- I just want to make sure I'm not being offensive, especially since I'm writing from a perspective that I'm not all too familiar with. Thank you for reading my poem

Hello 👋🏻 I really liked your poem, recently I've been exploring more about how people of the pride community or gender-fluid people cope up with the societal pressures and stereotypes.
Reading this poem helped me learn a little more than yesterday, also I appreciate your effort on trying to relate to it as much as possible.
Especially,
This is the part i felt so emotional and wanted to leave my experience. Personally, I've didn't meet anyone 1gender-fluid but these lines! Even people out there who were left out alone can also relate so much with these.
Recently, one of my classmates lost her father. She was so lost in her lonely world that watching her like that scared me more. I tried talking to her but she was unaware of the world around her as if she went back in time, where she had her father.
So, as no person can accept such loss, I definitely agree with your poem which connects with the sorrows of a special person who had to face such loss, who grew up having such supportive parents. And now they could be Nobody's Son, Nobody's Daughter.
Hello! Overall this is a good poem, and as someone who is gender ??? and have went through moments where I have though myself to be gender-fluid, I think you did handle it fairly well.
review:
I always love when people bring the way the world treats people or the way the world feels into the piece, and you do this so its peak. I adore the different ways you relate the world back around to the people the speaker cares about, such as copper things and copper eyes and Latin and someone who loved it. People are a sum of what they are and what they do or love.
This piece elaborating even further upon the feeling of intention, and such, and the laughing, really builds the feeling of bitterness that the speaker has within their grief.
I also like the use of assassin and sanity, many similar sounds.
Only thing I wanted to mention regarding this paragraph was the fact that's its awesome having the two people do stereotypically different things, with the mom(?) buying chest binders and the dad(?) helping pick dresses.
I particularly love the repetition here, handful, leg-pull, it both references body parts which I think would be considered repetition.
Sorry, I might come back and comment later with my thoughts on the last 3 stanzas, but I've been working on this during classes and suddenly lost all motivation.
TYSM for taking the time to review!!! (′▽`〃)
