Walk slow, breath deep.

Close your eyes, don't weep;

You'll be ok, you'll make it through.

Slowly now,

One... Two.

-

Forget their words, forget their laughs,

They're not true, don't take them to heart;

Don't be sad, don't cry anymore.

Let yourself smile,

Three... Four.

-

Raise your head, hold it high,

Erase those tears, don't let yourself cry;

You're not broken, so there's nothing to fix.

You can do it,

Five... Six.

-

You're not weak, you're not small,

I'm here for you, I won't let you fall;

You don't deserve this, it's not your fate.

Easy now,

Seven... Eight.

-

Don't you threat, don't you hide,

I'm right here, by your side;

Think of now, not of then.

Don't give up,

Nine... Ten.

------------

First poem ever :3 sorry if it's really bad I'm new to the poemy stuff -3-

Oh wow Courts! This is amazing! I really, really like this.

Your words are powerful and moving, your rhyming is pretty good aswell. It flows easily, it flows fluently also. It's really quite breathtaking to be honest, your stanazas are nice and I like how you are counting up aswell, it adds an extra somthing to the poem.

Its uplifting and not dark and depressing, you show the sense of hope through out your poem, and it makes me smile :) dont really know what else to say other than that this poem is really rather beautiful :) No spelling, punctuation or grammar mistakes that I can see, and another thing, I dont beleive you that this is your first poem not one bit ;)

Anyways, your a talented poet. So keep writing!

As a first poem it is phenomenal. The structure was very unique and unlike anything I had ever seen before. I could strongly feel the raw and uplifting emotion booming out of this poem. Very well done. Another thing I liked was that it was very sad. Like I said before it was uplifting which makes a nice change from the rather depressing poems I have read. Feels like a breath of fresh air. Your rhyming scheme is also admirable. I was never good at rhyming and I always look up to those who can pull it off and you did it in a way which seemed flawlessly effortless.

My favourite paragraph has to be:

You're not weak, you're not small,

I'm here for you, I won't let you fall;

You don't deserve this, it's not your fate.

Easy now,

Seven... Eight.

Your ending was also very powerful too but for me this was just a little bit better. Fantastic job. Keep it up!

The Messenger Knight here to review for KotGR. Happy Review Day!
So, I was going to show you which part I liked best in this poem. all of it! I just loved ever part. It is spoken out of the heart of a true and caring friend. I thought it was fantastic and your rhyming was really good. I never felt thrown off by the rhymes, and I didn't notice any punctuation problems. Also ,the idea of the counting/breathing was very nicely done. It isn't completely original, but not something everyone does either.
Keep it up!

Hi! First off, I don't know a lot concerning poetry, but I really think this is a good poem :) I also like how it is personal, written for a friend. When I read it, it flowed smoothly and I love the rhythm. It has an excellent rhyme scheme :)
