well, i find the lyrics interestin
and i read lots of discussions concerning the meaning of the words
here is the lyrics

Eerie whispers
trapped beneath my pillow
won't let me sleep
your memories

and I know you're in this room
I'm sure I heard you sigh
Floating in between
where our worlds collide

scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see
and it scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see

and I know the moment's near
and there's nothing you can do
look through a faithless eye
are you afraid to die?

it scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see
and it scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see

It scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see
and it scares the hell out of me
and the end is all I can see

i tried to analyze it myself, the idea that the meaning is direct doesnt sound quite right to me especially in these verses

won't let me sleep
your memories

Floating in between
where our worlds collide

and I know the moment's near
and there's nothing you can do
look through a faithless eye
are you afraid to die?

what do you think ?
there was a withering flower in the fountain.

I thought it was just talking about how a dying atheist was thinking that the end of his life was coming and there would be no hope for the future... if that makes sense.
Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
