If there was an apostrophe in Young Writers, that'd mean either a young writer or a group of young writers possess the society. Of course, that's not right; a society is an abstract thing and cannot be owned. Also, young writers is plural and society means, in this case, a group. So literally translated, Young Writers Society means A Group For Young Writers.
This is why if you ever read "Veterans Affairs" there is no apostrophe before or after the 's' in Veterans. You're showing plural, not possessive. An apostrophe is simply grammatically incorrect in these cases.
