Content warning: murder, violence, grief, death, the paranormal, domestic abuse, etc.
Plot:
Three girls. One dead, one injured. Summer of 2005, in the middle-of-no-where Arizona.
Marnie Baskins was walking to her friend's house when she heard a cry come from the woods. Ever the goody-two-shoes, she followed the sound and found Presley Scott, dead from the knife wound in her chest, and Riley O’Neil, her shirt ripped and her shoulder bleeding. They never found the murder weapon, and there were no fingerprints to trace. It was a stain on Wescott’s history and a case gone cold. Ever since the case was declared cold, Presley's parents hired a private investigator, Louise Williams, to solve their daughter’s murder case. Along with the help of a retired detective, the two set off to solve the case. Thankfully, it seems like they're being guided to all the right clues by some unnatural force, but the spirit's anger can get in the way of things at times.

Three girls. One dead, one injured. Summer of 2005, in the middle-of-no-where Arizona.
Marnie Baskins was the most popular girl in school, despite her constant teasing of the poorest girl at school, Riley O’Neil. Already pressured from the loss of her parents and living with her abusive, anger-ridden sister, Riley decides she has had enough and plucks a knife from her kitchen counter. The last straw was broken by the end of the day and a fight broke out on Marnie’s way home. Biting, grabbing, hair-pulling, and punching ensued as they fought for control of the knife.
Presley was Marnie’s neighbor. She only wanted to make sure nobody got hurt. She wasn’t meant to be there.
It was just an accident. They couldn’t even tell who had had the knife by the time they saw the first blood.
It was the first time they ever agreed on anything: Hide the body, burn the evidence, never tell a soul what happened here. If one person tells, then everyone gets in trouble.
Everytime Riley looks into a mirror, she sees a girl with a pink ribbon in her hair. Always out of reach, yet forever stalking. Presley was always the smartest kid in class.
She's lying in wait.
It's only a matter of time until she gets her rightful due.
