I tend to hyperfocus on a character I like, and Railyn is that character right now XD i might make a new character, I'm just in a Railyn writing mood, yknow?

So, prophecies! Prophecies are a common thing in this world and its culture, maybe like astrology or a form of religion? But our characters, when they were born, had a prophecy so horrifying it burned the eyes of a seer, and since then no seer has wanted to read their prophecies? So, when they become of age, (16? 18? 20?) one of them decides to do something about it? and then we go on an adventure

That sounds really fun idea. Like fine, we’re going to figure this out ourselves since no one else will.

As for where prophecies come from, I like the idea of natural prophecies. Where they come from the Earth. We can combine that with religion or astrology.

That’s what I was thinking. Like this culture lives in a way to glorify the earth and in exchange, the earth allows them to see what’s to come or something.

Hmm. Maybe it's a complicated prophecy where they could be heroes or villains.

I will let you know that I am absolutely horrible at writing prophecies XD (hence why I was like "OH NO IT BURNS THE SEER'S EYES OUT" instead of specifying what it was about) BUT I am totally down with specifying the prophecy
