*sets up shop in WRFF* So, hello fellow writers. Some of you may know me. If you're an active member on YWS, I may well have already reviewed some of your work. However... I haven't reviewed much lately (I've even skipped a whole bunch of review days. Bad steam) which is why I'm opening this review thread (as a kind of kick up the bum to get me to chat less and review more) 8) What will I review? - Short stories and novels. I specialise in fantasy but I will review most fiction (see "What won't I review?" for more details) - Anything with a content rating. I know a lot of reviewers won't touch this, but I won't refuse to review something on terms of content. So feel free to send me links to your Game of Thrones -style epics and I'll review them. I may comment however if I feel it's a little gratuitous. What won't I review? - Anything with three or more long, in-depth reviews at the time the author posted a request. This may however be negotiable if you feel nobody has commented on a particular aspect of the story you wanted them to comment on. - Anything that is not a short story or a novel. - If you send me a link to a novel chapter which is more than about 2 chapters into a story, I will ONLY review that chapter and if I haven't read the whole novel please don't expect me to read through masses of chapters before I start reviewing the chapter you linked me to. I will review chapters in the middle of books as standalone stories. I may refuse to review something if I feel it breaks one of these rules. What can you expect from my reviews? I always take a great deal of care and time when reviewing, and NEVER try and rush reviews. Here is my reviewing priority list: - Formatting - Spelling, grammar and punctuation - Problems with plot - Characterisation and worldbuilding If your formatting and your spelling, grammar and punctuation isn't quite there, don't expect me to review problems with the plot and characters! Nitpicks will come first. It's probably best not to ask me for a review if you are of a very sensitive disposition; I can be very harsh when it comes to critiquing. Here are a few examples of my reviews so you know what to expect: My review on Sulli 1 My review on Little Sister Other Notes - Since I'm not American, I may not understand some Americanisms and may try and correct them. Please ignore me if I do this and you disagree with what I've said. - Please, PLEASE reply to my review. An in-depth rant or just a brief note to say thanks at the bottom of the review lets me know you've read it. This is all I expect in return. - Please be patient. I will try and process your request in a maximum of three days. If I haven't done anything after this time, shoot me a PM to remind me that I still have to review your work. - And please attach a link to your work! If I'm busy it's a nuisance having to sift through a dozen portfolios looking for the stories people want me to review. - Reviews are on a strictly first come first served basis. *whew* So, if I haven't put anyone off yet, feel free to ask for reviews! :smt004

Just for future reference, I don't take requests for poetry reviews (as mentioned in my first post, I only review short stories and novels)
