Halee

I look at him and swallow, crossing my arms as my wings twitch behind me, "I'm not welcome here...am I?"

Lucian

I swallow, "I remember your money being used to buy the house; therefore it's yours."

Halee

I nod slowly, awkward as I close the door behind me.

Lucian

I look down, a question digging at my mind and begging to be answered.

Halee

I study him, my wings annoying me.

Lucian

I close my eyes and hesitate before looking at her, "D-did... did you love me, Halee?"

Halee

I look away as I cross one foot over the other, "I do love you. Always will."

Lucian

I swallow, "Then why did you say all those things?"

Halee

I sigh, "I didn't mean it that way. I meant coming back to see you was a mistake. Not us."

Lucian

"it didn't sound like that," I mutter, looking down.

Halee

I raise an eyebrow, "I could just leave. You can keep Blithe and I'll just go on with life. That's kind of what your hinting...what you want right now. I'll go if you want."

Lucian

I look at her, almost bitterly responding, "I'm not hinting anything. I'm just saying what I heard." I thought Blithe was your whole life. I thought I was a major part of that too. If you can just go on... maybe I was wrong.

Halee

I shake my head, "Well...you heard wrong."

Lucian

I choose not to speak again, looking away and wondering whether my previous thoughts had any truth in them.

Halee

I watch him, not sure what to do...did we just break up or...

I swallow, looking at the floor, "I...I want Blithe three times a week. You can have him the rest," I simply say, "We'll figure that out later though.
