Ella

I flash a smile at Ian and nod, "I'm fine..."

I reach for Kyle and take him in my arms, bouncing him.

Marcus

I don't say anything about it, then remember the message I was supposed to deliever.

"Oh and Ian, the guys over at Camp Jupiter said they need you back, there some trouble brewing, and they need all hands to help out to stop it." I said.

Ian

I glance at Kyle and Ella before shaking my head, "I... I can't. I'm not leaving my son and I'm not leaving my girlfriend. We've been through enough."

Ella

I swallow at his words but nod, looking back at Kyle.

Marcus

"Why not just take them there? They'll be safe in the city, no more trouble, no more kidnappings, and you can help stop the trouble that's brewing." I said.

Ian

"Because that's not my decision and she's Greek," I say. "I'm not going back to a place like that with my son and I'm not bringing my girlfriend into that kind of life. We're fine here. Today... tonight was just off."

Marcus

"Please Ian, if I don't bring you back then they'll take my forge away and everything. And I don't want to loss the only home where I feel at home, I'll loss the project I was working on, it was something I was going to come and give you once it was done." I said.

Ella

I bite my lip, "I-I'd go...but I'm not sure how I'd fit in with that lifestyle. Since mine is technically the complete opposite..."

Ian

I study Ella, not sure if I want her or Kyle exposed to that. They've been through so much already...

"Wait... what project?" I remember the end of what Marcus said, stalling for a decision.

Marcus

"A spear, it was supposed to help amplify your powers, since demigods get weaker and weaker with every generation. It was meant to help you survive, if I loss the forge then I'll never be able to complete it." I said.

Ella

I stay silent and hold Kyle close.

Ian

I study him before glancing at Kyle and Ella. Returning my gaze to him, I sigh. People don't get how much I hate charity... do they? "What kind of trouble is there? And why would they take away your forge if I didn't come?"

Marcus

"It's not just you, they requested that all roman demigods are to be assembled. But for some reason the new praetor doesn't like me, said if I fail I loss my forge. So I got to bring back at least one demigod to keep the forge, I came here figuring you would help me out if you knew." I said.

Ella

I glance at Ian and then at Marcus, confused at everything.

Ian

I sigh, "Fine. But you didn't answer my first question."
