Nic

I glance at Rayah, trying my best not to freak out, "Why isn't she better? Why is she still like this?"

Rayah

"Long distance power," I tell him, crouching next to Jackie, "You'll be okay...hopefully. Just wait until he lets it go."

Nic

I swallow and look back at Jackie, keeping eye contact with her. Please, stay with me. Please. I can't do all of this without you.

Jackie

I keep my eyes closed, doing as Rayah says. Deep breaths...

Rayah puts her hand to my neck to check my pulse, swearing web she gets results, "Jackie, take deep breaths."

Nic

I stroke the sides of Jackie's face with my thumbs, my heart racing out of my chest in worry for her.

Jackie

Struggling to do as she says, I clentch my fists, coughing again.

"No, Jackie," Rayah stutters, "Don't leave."

I squeeze my eyes shut, coughing, "I can't breathe..."

Nic

"Jackie, please," I beg, "You can't do this to me. You're going to be okay, just stick with me."

Jackie

"You think I want..." I trail off, going silent.

"JACKIE!" Rayah practically screams, shaking me, "You gotta be kidding me!"

Nic

"Jackie?" I call, my hands still on either side of her face, "Jacks, no! Please! Just hang in there!"

Rayah

She says nothing, her face slowly draining color, "Jackie?" I call in barely a whisper, looking down.

Nic

I watch my wife fade and lose it completely, disappearing and reappearing in front of the b*stard who started it all. Grabbing him by the collar, I shove him up against a brick wall and get in his face, "Release the hold you have on Jackie or I'll release you."

I disintegrate with him and reappear over a cliff, holding him off the side.

Rayah

Seeing Nic hold Travis over the cliff off to the side, I swallow, watching. Travis litterally freaks, nodding, and saying something about her already be too far gone to revive. He releases it and I look back at Jackie, not seeing a difference.

Nic

I flash back to where I am and release him, disintegrating and appearing back before Jackie. I drop to the ground and take her in my arms, setting a hand on the side of her face, "Jacks...please. Come back. I need you."

Rayah

Nothing.

I look at Nic, "I-I think she's gone, Nic..."

Nic

Jace pulls Rayah away, "Leave him be, Ray. He needs to do this himself."

I pull Nic closer and cradle her in my arms, burying my face in her hair. Come back. Don't leave me like this.
