I study him before handing him his jacket back and looking up at the sky, which was still pouring, "But I want to let you know I never stopped thinking about you," I say, my knees still at my face, "And I'll never stop."

Ethan

I flash a smile and look at her, "Same for me."

Whit

I nod and rest my chin on my knees, closing my eyes for a second.

Ethan

I watch her before deciding to smooth back the hair from her forehead.

Whit

I let him do what he wants and keep my eyes closed, biting my lip again.

Ethan

She bites her lip and I flash a smile, tracing her bottom lip with my thumb.

Whit

I open one of my eyes and watch him, confused.

Ethan

She opens her eyes and I stop, dropping my hand and wondering what I'm doing anyway.

Whit

He drops his hand and I flash a smile, shaking my head before closing them again and letting the rain soak me.

Ethan

I take a deep breath and look away, resting my chin on my knees.

Whit

I smile, eyes still closed, "You were always so shy."

Ethan

I glance back at her and smile, "I have a fear of screwing up. That's why."

Whit

I shrug, "But that's alright. 'Cause that's who you are."

Ethan

I smile and nod, studying her.

Whit

I nod and take a deep breath, opening my eyes and looking out on the lake.
