"Morning." I say to him. "You know, I could get use to waking up to this." I say to him.

I smile and kiss her forehead, "Me too."
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

I slowly crawl out of his arms and stand up. I walk over to the kitchen and turn the oven on. "What do you want for breakfast?" I ask.

I follow her to the kitchen and hoist myself up on one of the counter-tops, sighing, "Surprise me."

I smile at him and go over to kiss him. I smile once I pull away. I put a pan on the over and go to the refrigerator and pull out the eggs. I crack the and pour them into a bowl, then stir. Once they are stirred, I pour them into a pan.

I add cheese, tomatoes and sausage in as I go to make two omelets. I put toast in the toaster and wait of it to pop up. While this is taking place I get out two glasses and fill them with orange juice. I go over to the table and place them there. I go back and grab two plates. I put the omelets and toast on them. I place them on the table as well and go back to Elijah. I grab both of his hands and get on my tip toes. I kiss him passionately and smile at him. "Breakfast is served." I say

I watch her with a smile and kiss her back when she comes to me, holding my hands. She tells me breakfast is served and I kiss her forehead, sliding off the counter and walking with her to the table.

I grab two forks as we walk to the table and I sit across from him. I smile at him and them cut my food. I blow on it to cool it off and then take a bite.

Once we are both done, I take his plate and mine. I walk over to the dish washer and put them in there. I turn around to see Elijah behind me. I put my arms on his waist and mess with the hem of his TShirt. I lean in to kiss him. Before I can the door bell rings. I sigh and place my head on his shoulder.

I walk over to the door and open it. I am shocked to find my father. I take a big gulp. It feels like there is a lump in my throat. I smell the beer in his breath. "What the hell are you doing here?" I ask.

"You should be happy to see me." he says. "I have missed you."

"Oh go to hell." I scream at him.

I stay in the kitchen, smiling in wait of Alexis's return, until I hear her scream at whoever's at the door. Losing my smirk, I hurry to her side and find a man with glazed eyes standing at the door.

"Who is this?" My father asks pointing at Elijah.

I grab his hand and make sure he is close to me. "This is my boyfriend." I say. "And not you do not get an introduction." I glare at my father. "Why are you here?" I ask.

"Your mother divorced me," he begins.

"Oh why does that not surprise me?" I ask.

"Anyway, I have no where to go."

"Oh hell no! You are never welcome." I say.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
