Catherine

"You can only learn if you do combat, and there is no better an opponet for you, than me. No one who can pose any real threat to you, than me. I do what I do, to help you, to further you, not to kill you." I said.

I had no idea how or why, but staring down that arrow was like staring down death. Tauntingly, I've never been so close to death before, than right now.

Alexis

"You cannot do combat if you have no idea what you are doing. You cannot just throw random stuff at me and expect me to do it. I have never fought anyone before in my life. This does not come natural to me."

Catherine

"And, you saw how quick Elijah acted, the flight or fight response is what empowers us, fighting in our dragoon state makes us invincble to anything non-dragoons used. Guns and Swords and Spears that are not enpowered with that of a dragon have no effect on us, it's impossible to teach you how to learn magic by telling you, you have to learn on your own." I said.

Alexis

I lower my sword and look at her. "Like I said, it all comes with time. It will take time to get use to all this. I will learn, but it will take a while."

Catherine

"Well then, lets go!" I said.

I form my spear in my hands and swing upwards and she blocks immediately with her sword, my spear going up pointing towards the sky. She puts both hands on her sword and stabs at me, I dodge side stepping her stabs. I bring down my spear like a hammer, only to have it hit her free shoulder. She staggers to the ground holding her shoulder I reposistion my hold on the spear and stab down at her, she rolls with incredible speed and I can feel that sword going up my spine cutting my shirt and almost hitting my head. That I wasn't expecting, I held my shirt onto meit was going to fall off if I didn't, and I feared my bra was cut with my shirt.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa time out. I'm going to need a new shirt and bra here." I said looking at the ground.

Alexis

I nod and take a seat on my porch as she leaves. Elijah sits next to me and takes my hand. "You okay?" he asks.

"It is strange, but I will get over it." I turn to face him. "Your hurt." I say looking at his jaw. I softly place my finger tips on his wound and look into his eyes as I heal him. A moment or two later I look down to see the marks are gone. I take my hand off his face and look back at him.

Elijah

I allow myself to return to normal and sit next to Alexis, taking her hand and asking her if she's alright. She says she is and then heals me, staring into my eyes as she does. I smile and kiss her cheek in thanks when she's done, sighing.

Alexis

I suppress a smile as he kisses my cheek. "Are you okay?" I ask.

Elijah

I nod and sigh, "Just on edge. Nothing to worry about."

Alexis

"Agreed." I say. "A lot has happened."

Elijah

I nod back and sigh, trying to calm my nerves.

Alexis

I force myself to smile and grip his hand tighter. I lay my head on his shoulder and try to relax.

Elijah

I smile when she leans against me. Replacing one hand with the other holding hers, I wrap an arm around her shoulders and sigh.

Alexis

His strong arm wraps around me and I smile up at him. I tilt my head up and peck a kiss on his cheek.

Elijah

I smile wider when she kisses my cheek. I lean down and kiss hers back.
