Ella

I stay quiet and close my eyes, trying to fall asleep.

Ian

"Then I guess I'm stupid," I tell her, gaining some sight back. "And you had every intention of murdering me before, so I don't see why you even care. This is my problem and it will be solved my way. It's my family."

Tahira

"Well here's a thing for you, the whole fight was your fault, you refused to leave when told to. I was simply doing my job, I don't have to kill you, I just gotta beat the living crap out of you. There are people who know me on Olympus, I'm just as to help you as to killing you. I just need a good reason why, and now I have a reason to help you, only on the case you'll start doing as I say, when I say, no ifs, ands, or butts, got it?" I said.

Ella

I swallow in my sleep and cover my head with a pillow.

Ian

I hesitate before shaking my head, "No. I'm not going to be bossed around like a little kid. I told you; this is my problem. I'll deal with it."

Ella

I swallow And shake my head, waking before standing, "I-It's fine. I'll sleep downstairs."

Ian

I regain most of my sight and shake my head, scooping up Kyle without waking him and beating Ella to the door.

"No. It's your room," I say, heading downstairs with Kyle held as close as I can without hurting him.

I'm not listening to any more of that...

Ella

I sigh and Tahira walks away, leaving me alone. Ugh.

Shivering, I don't go under the covers and just lie on the bed, letting myself freeze to death.

Ian

I buy another room and lie Kyle down in the bed, sitting at his side but not making an attempt to sleep. I reach for the note again before remembering it's not there. Sighing, I run a hand through my hair and take my head in my hands.

Ella

I fall asleep, my lips purple, and cross my arms over my stomach.

Ian

The next morning, having gotten no sleep, I scoop Kyle up again and walk upstairs. I knock on the door and sigh, hoping that Ella could watch him for a moment while I went to heed the note.

Ella

There's a knock at the door and I sigh, opening it. Yawning, I study Ian and Kyle before flashing a small smile, "Hi."

Ian

I flash a smile back before shifting a sleeping Kyle in my arms, "I... can I ask you a favor? I'll do whatever you want afterwards to make up for it. But I need someone to look after Ky and I'd rather it be you than a stranger..."

Ella

I nod before taking Kyle from him, "No problem."

Ian

"Thank you," I hesitate, a bad feeling in my stomach, before kissing her cheek and heading back down the stairs.
