The shadow fades
a child,
but not a gift
will it ever end?

For this is it,
will it ever end?

The illusions of it,
but it's not a gift
will it ever end
?

Hi QueenMadrose! You're off to a great start with your poem "Will it end?" - the use of rhetorical questions is very effective, and I like how short and bite-sized the poem is. As someone who has a hard time keeping things short, I find that really impressive! I think my favourite lines are from the opening, "The shadow fades / a child". It's a very haunting image to open the poem on. Keep up the great poeting - I look forward to seeing what other poems you write this NaPo!
When you're faced with something you don't understand, I think the most natural thing but also least interesting thing you can be is afraid.

Why does end like this?

For I may never get through

Is this even real?
each passing day
when your pictures start to wash away by life's constant toll
Does it have to end like this?
You say not to call or text.
You say I am nothing.
You say it's just a part of my imagination.
does it have to end like this?
Life torments my body,
I am but a broken heart
Why did you have to leave?
Each passing day
My memories start to slip away.
Does it have to end like this?
I promise this type of pain only gets worse

The curtain closes
I'm tortured, silent
for when the time comes, we shall depart
our time has come; say goodbye
but we say good night
because we both know as we plunged down

We existed only as a memory
I promise this type of pain only gets worse

Hey there Rose! <3

Definitely some dark themes in these, love a good brooding poem! <3 I think the speaker's emotions and longing and questioning really come across strongly in poem 2 and then in poem 3 I like how you ended it in those final two lines
because we both know as we plunged down

We existed only as a memory

that's definitely a tragic thought! <3 Best of luck for the rest of the month!
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

life torments the mind
I am not who you thought
forever in your eye
loneliness is my only friend
each passing day warms the body

Despite this, I am still here
A figment of my heart
I promise this type of pain only gets worse

Devoid of Love

the night falls in a heavy, suffocating cloak, cold and alone are we.
the salvation for which you lust
flares once, then dies, swallowed by your obsession
all hope must sicken and die.
your love is no more. how could you cause such hurt?
lost souls surround us, crying, we have lost our way.
I promise this type of pain only gets worse

I really like the concept of being described as a "figment" of your own heart - there's something really tragic and interesting about that. All these poems definitely feel connected and give me as a reader a clear sense of your poetic voice too which can be hard to do over the course of several poems! Still time to write more in the month if you're up to it - but thank you for sharing these ones. Happy NaPo <3

stolen emotion

what have you done to me?
A smothering indistinctness of sickness
as memories vanish.
Once we
enjoyed euphoria, childlike
and innocent, but your love drifted away.
a clouded vision of its lies —
thoughts follow darkness, follow death,
love burnt to ashes.
in a torrent of tears, yet
I still love you.
I promise this type of pain only gets worse
