"I guess that works," Kartiel jokingly agreed - despite how emotional the past hours had been, there was a genuinely cheerful to his voice. He liked spending time with these two, and he was happy to tease them if he could.
Down in the basement, Jason grunted, as he woke from his dream. Staring at spiders as big as buildings wasn't the best of nightmares. Rubbing his eyes, he crawled out of bed and went to the bathroom, and freshened up. He threw on jeans and sweatshirt, and combed back his tangled brown hair.
He trudged up the stairs, and glared at Kartiel and Luna, who were sleeping on the couch-beds. "Get up, both of you!" he growled, flicking on the lights.
Luna jerked up in her bed, a small blade she had in her pouch strapped to her right leg in her hand. She blinked from the bright light, when her eyes got used to the light, her eyes landed on an unhappy Jason stranding at the door.
"Oh it's just you." She mumbled under her breath, putting the small blade away where it went. "You do know there are nicer ways to wake people up right?" She hissed, her eyes narrowing.
Luna's reaction to being woken up by Jason took him by surprise, but Kartiel didn't comment on it. He was too tired to - it was definitely too early to be getting up. He sat up and yawned, rubbing his green eyes with his hands. Even though he had admitted the truth to Livvie, he wasn't going to tell Jason until he was sure it was safe to. He'd keep his eyes green until then.
He fished around for his glasses, finally finding them perching precariously on the edge of the couch.
He slipped them on.
"You're not a morning person, are you?" Kartiel asked.
