It's a trick question, now let's see if I can do this without confusing myself:
If it weren't to grow, then he would be telling a lie and his nose would grow. If it were to grow, then he'd be telling the truth and it wouldn't grow.
"Nothing is permanent in this wicked world - not even our troubles." ~ Charles Chaplin
No. Because if it was a lie, it would grow, so he doesn't know for sure that it would grow, so then it would grow. But since his nose has to find a loophole and be spiteful, it won't grow, because it's not technically a lie now, is it?
"You can love someone so much...But you can never love people as much as you can miss them."
No. Now, if he said another body part would grow longer...
Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
"The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly." ~ Richard Bach
Yes. You don't have to technically be conscious of the fact that you're lying. Also, Pinocchio already knows about this lying thing with his nose, so he knows something's gonna happen now that he said that.
I never knew Pinocchio was a fan of circular logic.
And by the way, it's opposite day.
Spoiler! :
I like people thinking that I have something so scandalous to say that I put it in spoiler tags, and I'm sorry that because of this selfish desire you were roped into reading this for not real lasting value.
I just had to see this thread, I know it's old. Sorry. * If Pinocchio said that, and it was a lie, it would grow anyway. If it was true, it wouldn't grow because it wasn't a lie, but it would grow anyway thanks to the fact that it was true it was going to grow. Basically, if it was a lie yes, and if it was the truth, yes. Hope that wasn't too complicated. * ~Luciano

He would be as confused as the rest of us about it, so he wouldn't be sure what was going to happen. So saying "My nose is going to grow" with any confidence would be a lie. Just because his nose did grow wouldn't mean he was certain about it, so even though it did happen, he had no prior knowledge, so it would still be a lie, so yes, his nose would still grow.
Hmm, an analogy...
Okay, has anyone seen the trailer for Planet 51? The mother says "Take your medicine, or the big bad monster will get you." This is a lie. Just because the big bad monster stumbles through the door doesn't change the intentions behind what the woman said.
Of course, the more sensible answer to this question would be "No, because Pinnochio's nose doesn't grow any more. He's a real boy!"
