Samwise Gamgee... The Lord of the Rings... Eternally loyal, outstandingly courageous, upholding the highest of valour and defiance in the face of almost insurmountable evil. Love you Sam.
Anya - Goddess of Anarchy The Lords of the Underworld Series
She had gotten through so much crap in her past that really affected her future. I loved reading parts in which Anya was her sassy, badass self. She overcame a lot and in the end still wanted to help the others.
"Beware the darkness in your heart. The Heartless prey upon it."
@AriaAdams Her characters from anywhere and anything, although my favorite is Darcy from the Monstrumologist. She manages to make engaging characters that almost always have secrets, and they have amazing inner conflicts like Darcy's-should she chose her new friends or the monsters that they fight but only she understands?
Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler... Sexy, Efficient, Loyal, Intelligient and amazing over all.
Hiei Jaganshi from Yu Yu Hakusho... Cold hearted, deadly, tempermental, yet has a caring side to him, loyal to his companions and someone you want on your side.
Kurama Yoko also from Yu Yu Hakusho.... Calm, Precise, Polite, Deadly, Sweet, Intelligient a perfect balance for Hiei.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Okay, lemme just say that in every other Sherlock story, I thought Moriarty was a badly thought-out badly done, flat villian. But in BBC's Sherlock, Moriarty is a perfect character. To give you a quote:
"So if you have what you say you have, I'll make you rich. If you don't, I'll make you into shoes."
Oh, we're talking TV shows now? If you know Claudia Donovan, you just have to love her! Sassy, rock chick hacker. It just worked. Quote: "So you put it on a computer? That's like me leaving out a plate of biscuits with a note saying 'not for Artie'!"
On here, I like @TimmyJake's Avery. She's so moody, but in a cool way.

Bartimaeus of Uruk rocks, in my opinion. What can't you love about a sarcastic, "humble", 5,000 year old djinni? He's witty, and he always makes me smile. Not to mention that his past makes me want to hug him half of the time. Here's three of my favorite quotes from him:
"Can you define 'plan' as 'a loose sequence of manifestly inadequate observations and conjectures, held together by panic, indecision, and ignorance?' If so, it was a very good plan."
"He was transfixed at the sight of the lords and ladies of his realm running about like demented chickens."
"Watch where you leave your victims! I stubbed my toe on that."
@Tortwag, I feel Twinkiel from Pokémon MysteryDungeon: The Seventeen Plates of Arceus deserves to be mentioned here. Some consider him crazy, others violent, and yet others (like me) consider him kind in his unique way, but all can agree he is infinitely entertaining.
By the way, you should definitely consider reading about the character in the post above this one. The first book is called "The Amulet of Samarkand". Seriously, you'd be doing yourself a favour.
But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. — Paul the Apostle
