Austin

I stay close to Bethany, still uncomfortable about everyone. After a few moments of waiting, Niki and Eljiah come down with their own suitcase and glow about them. I avert my gaze and keep my eyes on Bethany instead.

Bethany

Niki looks the same as me, slippers and a huge shirt with sweats, her hair up in a bun as she sits next to me and yawns, "I hope we're not there for three weeks..." she mutters. I flash a smile and pat her stomach, her shaking her head at me, smiling weakly back. I twine my hand with Austin's, my mom explaining that we're driving there.

Austin

I keep my eyes down at our hands after that, listening but staying quiet.

Bethany

She says that the girls are gonna have to sit on the guys lap since there isn't enough room and I glance at Austin before we stand and head out to the car, "Two in the back, two in the front," My mom tells us.

She jumps in the front seat, my dad the driver, and I climb in the back with Austin, plopping on his lap as I flash a smile, Emma and Jag next to us.

Austin

I flash a smile back at Bethany and watch everyone else pile into the car, Elijah and Niki in the seat before us with River and Sol.

Bethany

I cuddle up against him, taking out my headphones and phone, sharing a headphone with him and cuddling into him like a stuffed animal before closing my eyes, both hands twined with his.

Austin

I smile and keep my arms around her, my hands twined with hers. Closing my eyes as well, I listen to whatever she decides to put on and completely relax.

Bethany

I take a deep breath, nestled into his jacket, and open my eyes slightly just to watch the world pass by out the window as we drive.

Austin

I rest my face against the side of hers and sigh, trying not to focus on anything else but her.

Bethany

I smile at him, wishing time could pass by faster. We get there around an hour later and we unload, me climbing out and raising my eyebrows as I look at everything. My mom and dad hold hands, leading us to our beach houses, "These are yours. Go to one and me and Jae will be staying in an apartment we had over there," she points to another building, "Don't bother us. Have fun."

Austin

I carry the suitcase and keep close to Bethany, looking around. Looks like the mortal world...

Bethany

We get to our beachhouse and I freak out, an indoor pool and hot tub right by the huge bed with a mini bar in the corner. There's a really fancy kitchen and dimming lights, a patio in the back with relaxing couches and a fire pit. I cover my mouth, "Oh my god, Austin, it's all ours!"

Austin

I smile wider and look around, not believing it, "This is amazing."

Bethany

I nod and clap quickly, "Yay! Okay, so we need to unpack and then we can swim or something."

Austin

I smile and watch her, nodding, "Okay."
