Mark Stone
"This is not just a safe haven. This is not some place where you can get some sort of shelter from whatever it is you're facing. This is not somewhere you can get free food." I say. "If you stay here, you become part of a team. A team where you can use your talents while confusing the hell out of the cops. I assume you are all here for all of those reasons. Just don't think you can slip out of the part about becoming a team. Because if this doesn't work, I can always get another lot of convicts. I'll be fine. Will you?"
"Ahh, shit", I say. Everyone looks at me funny. I pull my rucksack round and place the wicked knife Tully gave me inside, then pull out an envelope. I rustle through it, knowing that everyone's getting more impatient. I check a photo, then flick it over to the guy called Isaac. He looks at it in shock.
"If we're all going to be allies know, I'd best give up my dirt huh?" I explain. I pull more photos out and pas them to their subject. "Isaac, that's you burning a wheelie bin, Ailsa that's you at an arms deal. Shanaya, that's you stealing from a guys house. Katie, these are you stealing from a house, a school, another house, a restaurant, another house-"
"Hey!" she cries, "Why are there so many of me?"
"You're easy to follow. You also don't cover your tracks very well. Tully...all I've got of you is when you took a piss in public."
"I already got caught for that." He rumbles.
"Oh, I must be behind on my research. Uhh, I think that's all I have. Sorry Vixen, Hunter, I hadn't even heard of you two."
By now, everyone looked thoroughly suspicious and a little angry. I hurriedly explain, "Name's Mark Stone. Don't worry if you haven't heard of me, because really I'm not even a criminal. I'm a freelance photographer who somehow ends up with incriminating evidence of high up public figures. When said people find out, they get very keen to get this evidence back and often pay money, or sometimes information, which I then sell on. The price on my head is currently zilch, which is how I want it. If no-one knows I'm a criminal, then no-one is looking for me."
I gaze round the gathered 'super' criminals, who all look mightily pissed off. I check through the envelope again.
"I haven't missed anyone, have I?"
