GENEVIEVE

I continued walking, and gave no more thoughts about the guitar.

After a few more minutes, I arrived on the village, where I feel unwelcomed and lonely. I lived on the far end of the village, and I lived alone. My parents died a long time ago, and my relatives considered me as an outcast because they thought I killed them. How stupid to think of them! Well, they left me in this village, and set off in a far away land. My parents left me an amulet, the only posession left of them.

I arrived at my house and as I opened the door, I knew something was wrong. The door is already open, but I knew I locked it. Someone has broke into my house. I immediately searched for the small, wooden box under my bed. Luckily, it was there. I opened it, and to my surprise, the amulet is gone.

I went outside, trying not to cry, and asked my neighbor, an old man named Guru.

"Guru, sir, have you seen someone who have been in my house other than me?"

Guru looked at me as if I am dirt. "You foolish girl, are you accusing me of thief? Out of here!" he shouted.

I fell back, looking astonished. Whoever stole my amulet better give it back.

Shutting my eyes for a few seconds, I put my guitar down carefully. I looked at Aliri for a while before sighing heavily.

"Look..." I began, "Sorry I'm being a bit-"

"Annoying? Obnoxious? Stupid?" Aliri muttered.

"Yeah, thanks." I said sarcastically. "It's just that, well, come on. You have kind of like kidnapped me, in case you didn't notice."

I'm sorry, but what did she expect? I was being forced to stay in some little tent with nothing but my guitar. I was as bored as hell, especially now that Koda was gone. At least he talked to me as if he wasn't superior, unlike Aliricia.

I grinned to myself as I thought about her. She acted all hard, but I knew that she was a proper girl on the inside. Even the toughest of girls had soft spots; I just needed to find hers.

"Fancy a guitar lesson, bab-" I stopped at the end of the sentence. I didn't want to make her even angrier than she already was.

I picked up my guitar again and held it out in front of me. I could tell that she wanted to take it, she was just to 'hard' to admit it. I loved how chicks did that; pretended that they didn't give a crap when they obviously did. I waited for her reply, my guitar still held out in front of her. She looked as though she was sucking on a lemon. Pfft, sorry. I was only trying to be nice!
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

I bit the inside of my cheek. Maybe I had misjudged Charlie... Either that or he was being a suck-up. I stared at the guitar for a moment before grinning. I decided it was better to think of him as a nice guy.

"Fine. This doesn't change the fact that you're a prisoner though you know," I replied casually, taking the guitar from a grinning Charlie.

"Glad to see the change of heart." He winked at me. I raised an eyebrow, but he couldn't see my skeptic look. "And what's with the cloak? No offense or anything, but..."

"It creeps you out?" I muttered. Rhetorical question, I already knew the answer. He nodded anyways. "Long story." It wasn't actually that long. It was my grandmother's and she gave it to me before passing on. Of course why explain that to him? None of his business. "So, how exactly do you play this thing anyways?" I grinned at Charlie again. Tip your hat to him, he found my weakness.

I can't sleep. I have been lying here for at least an hour, my mind just won't shut up. My day didn't go as planned, not at all. All I wanted was a nice day to do the two things I do best, play my flute and of course annoy the other tribe. Sure, I did that, but... other things came up. There was finding out that Aliri and Koda kidnapped someone. Not just anyone either, he was from the other tribe. Then there was the scientist. I found him passed out in the clearing near the village. I don't know why he was passed out but I can not even imagine what would have happened if he had found our village, or any village for that matter. Now he is being held hostage too, then again, he is unconscious, so I'm not sure that counts. And then there was Taylor, what exactly is the deal with him? I have seen him before, he never seemed to be the type to make friends with our tribe. Has he got something up his sleeve?

Ugh, I need to take a walk, clear my head.

It was getting late, but I didn't trust Koda in here alone. The man--a scientist we all decided, was still unconsious, but who knows when he's wake up and see this? I sighed loudly and sank to the groun, pulling my knees up to my chest. It had been a long day; thank gosh the elders had sent somebody else out hunting.

I stared at Charlie, trying to figure out what to do with him. I hated him most of the time, but he wasn't always so bad. I can't believe I actually admitted that. I averted my stare to Koda, who seemed thrilled with this little situation.

"I'm tired," I whined. I didn't like whining, but meh. Why not just this once?

"So go to bed," Koda ordered.

Ha. Not a chance buddy. "You? In here alone with them? Over my dead body," i grumbled.

Charlie chuckled. "You need sleep my grump."

I shot him a glance, glaring at him from behind my cloak. I actually debated pulling down my hood. Why? I have no idea what-so-ever. Just for the fun of them actually seeing me without my hood up? Heh....

I curled into a ball laying my head on Tams flank who laid his head on my shoulder. I was tired and cold. I had nowhere to go so I decided to take what I could get and make the best or worse out of it. I closed my eyes and a few minutes later dropped off into sleep.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

Aliricia glared at me as though I'd just slapped her. Pfft, this girl really did need some sleep. To be honest, I needed sleep too. I was shattered. I was pretty confident that they wouldn't do anything while I slept, but I still didn't trust her and Koda completely. I was going to put off sleeping for as long as possible.

"Ali, just go to sleep." I laughed.

"It's Aliricia to you," She replied bluntly.

Wow, she seriously did need sleep. Sighing heavily, I shut my eyes. There was some random guy in here with Koda, Aliricia and I. I had no idea who he was, he definitely wasn't from a tribe, that was for sure. If he was from the outside world, I really wanted to ask him about it. Maybe he could have even gotten me into the outside world.

"Hey, who's the dude?" I asked, my eyes still shut.

"We don't know," Koda answered.

Well that was a lot of help. I sighed heavily once before slowly drifting off. Ah well, a bit of sleep wouldn't hurt.

~Koda~

I stayed awake most of the night, keeping an eye on both the not-quite-dead guy and our hostage, both of whom were sleeping. Charlie looked kind of cute when he wasn't talking, actually.

Aliricica had fallen asleep a while ago too, and I could feel drowsiness pulling at me enticingly. Somehow I managed to resist, rubbing my eyes sleepily and taking a great deal of effort to stay awake.

Taylor

It was early in the morning and he heard nothing at all from Charlie through out the whole night. He wasn't the type of guy who worried too much about anything but this time he was worried, he was worried for Charlie since he didn't know where he was and had a really bad feeling of this whole thing.

As soon as the first light ray hit my window, he woke up and decided to go look for him. It didn't matter if he was the only one, he had to do it, he had to look for him. So he headed out of my house and into the forest. The forest, at such early hour, looked magnificent. The few sun rays that hit the green leaves of the high trees made a reflection of different colors on the ground. The rattling sound of the leaves and the river might have been harmonious.

So, there he was again in the middle of the forest. But now he had a greater mission than just hunting any animal, he had to find Charlie.

I woke up on the bank of the border stream. How did I get here? I suddenly remembered last night, I couldn't sleep, I took a walk to clear my head. Somehow I ended up falling asleep here. It isn't much of a surprise, this is one of my favorite places ever. This early in the morning it was so tranquil. It was such a peaceful place, I almost fell asleep again. I heard a noise, a sharp crack. Snapping wood? Someone was in the forest and close.

I yawned, sitting up in the tent. I rubbed my eyes, wondering why I hadn't just gone back home. Oh right, Koda and Charlie...bad. I glanced around the tent full of sleeping men. It almost gave me the creeps that I had been sleeping in the same room as three guys...but only almost.

I rose to my feet and almost tripped. Gash was tangled around both of my legs. "Gash!" I hissed quietly. He slithered down my leg and I scooped him up, placing him around my shoulders. I grinned.

"Wakey wakey my wonderfully despicable hostages and fellow guardian!" I shouted, clapping my hands.

Charlie groaned and opened one eye. "You are impossible Aliricia," he grumbled.

Koda yawned, but didn't whine. What a good little boy he was. The other hostage remained asleep.

"Is he even breathing?" Koda asked, crossing his arms.

I walked over to him and checked his pulse. Oh, go figure, there was one. I gave them a thumbs up that Koda apparently didn't understand.

"Thumbs up because he's dead, or thumbs up because he's actually living?" he grumbled.

I was touched he knew me so well. Sure I could be cold, but I wasn't heartless. "He's alive. You really think I'm that bad, huh?" I crossed my arms and turned to him.

Charlie chuckled. "I dunno..." His voice was taunting me.

I frowned, but refrained from looking at him. If he wanted to be abnoxious, let him. We'll just wait and see where that would land him in the future.

"Well, I'm starving. Koda, would you be a dear and stay with Chahta ," I emphasized his tribal name. I doubted he even realized I knew it, "While I go find some breakfast? I'll bring some back for everybody."

Koda raised and eyebrow, but nodded.

"It's Charlie..."

I ignored him, turned and bowed. "I will be back with a delicious meal of who-knows-what." With that, I turned and left the tent, staring at the sky. Clouds; and the air smelled like rain. I grinned. Chahta would be surprised at how dramatically weather could change my mood.

Kyle~

I was a little irritated that Tamra had punched me so hard but it had seemed to provided the desired effect. I woke up in a tent tied up with a tribal man watching me and apparently another prisoner.

I sat up straight. "Thank you for finding me I'm ever so lost and was hoping one of you nice people could direct me in the right direction." I said as sweet as the candy I wished for.

"We think you're a scientist," he said calmly.

"Why ever would you think that. I'm just a lost traveler."

He looked at me skeptically.

Well they weren't as idiotic as I thought they would be. I looked at the two tribe people in front of me seemed like interesting experiments. I blinked my eye to activate my scanner contact. Dozens of charts and scans popped up and began to scan the whole area including the two. From my scans the captured one would be a more interesting catch.

I smiled at the young teen. "Can you believe these people holding us captive like this. "My name is Kyle. I would shake you hand but..."

He smiled. "What's it like outside of these villages?"

I smiled seeing a in. "It's amazing I assure you but I can't explain it. You'd have to see it for yourself. I'll get you out of here and show you."

I closed my mouth and loosened on of my false teeth until it was completely uprooted from my mouth and spit it out onto the ground. A blue gas erupted from it filling the tent in seconds. Both of the tribes men collapsed. I had taken a vaccine to the poison.

"Tamara you can come in now."

Tamara snuck in through the flap and ripped off my bindings in one quick stroke.

"Take the younger one. "We're going to show him what the real world was like."

We were about leave when I heard someone at the tent flap. Someone was about to come in. Tamara dropped the body and was ready to pounce. I cursed the poison would only last two more minutes at best. I couldn't be delayed in my escape or they would wake up.

*Note this is what Tamara looks like. Although she has blond hair and get rid of that bow and she wears a black zip down suit. *

I opened the tent door, juggling plates of food, shocked to see a strage haze around the tent and our scientist up and standing. Along with another woman. There was a large rip in the back of the tent.

I dropped the food and backed out of the tent quickly, the others were unconsious and I didn't know much, but I guessed it was from the hazey gas. Oh, no way was he getting out of there alive!

I pulled out my sword and made sure Gash was perfectly visible on my shoulder, sprinting to the other side of the tent. "Somebody get your butt out here and give me a hand!" I shrieked. I couldn't guard both exits... Oh right, and there were two of them. I whistled for Mist, hoping that wherever she was she had heard.

Mist trotted up beside me and I stroked her head, standing at the back exit. I heard Ghera's concerned voice on the other side. "What's going on out here?" She asked, yawning.

"Ghera, stay at the front exit, weapon ready!" I demanded. I heard her ready herself and I crawled in through the rip.

The girl wasn't very old, seven maybe? I focused on the scientist, hoping to shed a little light on our situation. He planned on taking Charlie back to study... interesting. Both of them wheeled around to face me.

Mist growled at them and the girl eyed her menicingly. I didn't know what to say, so I said nothing. The girl looked at man--Kyle I had just learned, who was staring at me, a shocked expression on his face.

I smirked and lifted the hood to my cloak for a better view. At least the guys were unconsious. Kyle nodded to the little girl and she lunged at me, knocking me to the ground. I grunted and rolled ontop of her with effort. She was a freakishly strong little thing, this one.

Gash hissed protectively and Mist went after Kyle, growling. I pressed my blade to the girl's throat and she shoved at my wrist. "Strong little thing huh?" I hissed as Gash crawled from my shoulder and onto hers. He bit her neck and she shrieked. I rolled off of her quickly and turned to Mist. "Mist! Come!" I demanded. She obeyed after a last growl in Kyle's direction. The girl didn't move.
