@JuliasSneezer you're supposed to PM Megrim so no one knows who volunteered :3

Dunagan likes people. He likes the ways he can make them react to the things he says and he likes to gather knowledge and explore the different beliefs of the land. Drinking and gambling in a tavern gives him a lot of good opportunities to do the things that he likes.
Some extra information and a long spiel if you'd like to spend the time reading it... I think I'll add it to the CP.
Spoiler! :
The Elliot Inn also has a guard dog named Dan, who was a mutt puppy that Aidan received a few years ago from a student's estate, unwanted by the master. The dog is big and brown, looks mostly like a mastiff (its purest bloodline), and is generally friendly to people who don't cause trouble. He is very ferocious when it comes to protecting the Elliots.
List of Elliot family (and relationship to Aidan): all except Gray are present and all work in the inn (except Rae)
Kent (father) - owner of Elliot Inn, very kind and friendly, is generally frugal and a good planner Ava (mother) Rae* (29, sister) - married a one of the stable workers and now lives in his home, taking care of their child (probably won't play a role) Henry (28, brother) - married a woman named Christie and they both live and work in the inn; he is the heir Gray* (26, brother) - ran off with a maid from one of the estates, was never heard from since Sylvie (25, sister) - works in the kitchens, is strong-willed and vows never to marry; she is the closest sibling to Aidan Lyn (24, sister) - works as a greeter or manager, engaged, expected to leave the inn soon Aidan
*probably no role in story?

@Lael can you tell me what Aidan's interactions with Leslie will be like? seeing as she works at the inn's pub, and his family owns that inn, and he plays music in it sometimes, it would be useful to know.
They'd be at least familiar, as I imagine Leslie has been working there for almost two years now.

Okay guys we're up and running! Please read the important info in the first post. New characters can still join for a little while, if you haven't got your profile in yet.
The murderer has been chosen, and I'm working with them on some specifics. I'm essentially clue-master. There are a few to get you started, and anyone who finds them or gets close to finding them can talk to me for more details (eg you'll notice clue no.2, "someone may have seen something by the lava river" is vague--if a character goes to the lava river and manages to meet and question the npc, I'll let you know what they saw). I may or may not include some red herrings gathered from other characters ^^
Everyone has potentially incriminating information on their profile--feel free to have your characters "discover" this stuff as clues and be as suspicious of each other as they want.
I would love at least one additional murder before the culprit is apprehended. If you want to volunteer your character to be murdered, PM me (so everyone doesn't realize you're NOT the murderer), and I'll put you in touch with the killer.
By the way, if you're sad you're not the murderer, if this SB goes well, don't think it's the only murder mystery party I'll be making
@SirenCymbaline you're right, I think they'd be familiar with each other. I'd imagine that they wouldn't talk about anything substantial/meaningful in most cases, since Aidan is aloof even though he may seem friendly, and mostly keeps to himself even in the inn. Perhaps they just make little talk sometimes. Leslie would have to initiate it, though, most times, perhaps?

Nice posts so far, peeps! I'm getting all my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I'm not sure how long I'll be out of commission. Maybe I'll write a (perhaps rather drugged) post tomorrow. We'll see.
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
I don't have a preference, they both seem like good ways to go. I imagine people are going to branch out into various locations, so it makes sense to have little groups of people posting together.
Yep, I've been busy with uni work and tortured by some other uni-related stuff. Octavia coming up tonight or tomorrow, and I think I'm gonna have her preparing the body for the funeral. So if anyone comes along that way, they'd probably see her/interact with her there.
