An update since Lou pointed out on Skype that my concept art for Anberlin looks very non-generic Fantasy a la Dungeons & Dragons.
He's right, and I think I failed to mention that. The society is rather advanced. Elsewise there would be no machinist or understanding of psyche.
So in that regard, consider your character, spells, and weapons accordingly. Anberlin uses her dual swords because she can rip them from her psych void at will, and they've proven to be the best conduit of her psychokinesis.

Atmosphere: Colorful, a strange mix between nature-like instruments (such as xylophones or flutes) and electronic, chiptune-esque ones (like 8-bit or 16-bit video game soundfont). That would represent the whole thing going on with Miyavi's love for nature and obsession with toys, as well as the fact that she's a chimera, AKA a patchwork of things that shouldn't mix together.

@Lumi due to machinists being there, I expected Sci-fi stuff to be present in this world, actually. But uh, can we assume that this society has early modern tech, like I dunno, walkmen/MP3, or steampunk-like early automobiles?

@Lumi seems legit. New energy source, new type of technology. Though I'd assume Aether-powered thing would have their own "look", I guess. Or architectural design. Y'know, like how steampunk stuff has a lot of bronze/metallic colors and rigid shapes, or plastic-based constructions have a lot of smooth-looking things with luminous colors. Should the Aether tech have a gimmick like that, or am I going too far?

I imagine it's in anyone's right to design what they want how they want, so yeah. Once something has an established design, writers should make a note of it. Stuff like that.
