Social Month Review Day Spectacular

February 2023

The mods have had an absolute blast hosting all the fun of Social Month this February, but there's still more fun to be had! Review Day is just around the corner and this month there's even an extra special prize for the winners!

Event Start Time

Review Day will start and end on
Automatically adjusted to your local time

What's a Review Day?

On the last Saturday / Sunday of the month, we endeavor to write as many reviews as possible and try to clean up the Green Room! It's a friendly competition to rise up to the challenge of reviewing and share some great feedback for the authors of our community.

Here's a link to January's Review Day to get a look at what happened last month!

This month our collective site goal is 150 reviews!

No Teams

This Review Day is every reviewer for themselves! So no teams! (Though if you still want to come up with a Team Name / Review Banner for your team of one, be my guest!) The winner will be the person who earns the most points from reviewing over review day, rather than the person who writes the most reviews.

Prizes

For this Review Day for an extra awesome motivator to Review, The Young Writers Society will be offering some prizes in the form of YWS swag for the first and second place winners!

The top reviewer gets their choice of any item from the YWS Store, and the second place finisher gets their choice of drinking glass, mousepad, or journal from the YWS Store. Link to store is at: https://www.cafepress.com/ywsstore

How fun is that?!

Reviewing Reminder

Please remember Review Spam will not be counted towards this contest, and can even result in points being removed so don't spam. If you're not sure where to start with a Review check out the YWS Critique Sandwich.

And remember, it's better to write one good review than to write 4 quick reviews. Not only will you earn more points, but you'll be more helpful as well! Quality over Quantity!

Some extra information on the prizes:

Top two reviewers will be decided by points earned. YWS also reserves the right to not count reviews in the event of the following:
  • Reviews were written before the Review Day started, but posted after it began
  • The reviews are generally of low quality
  • The reviews resemble spam
  • The review was clearly scrawled on the back of a cocktail napkin and then used to wipe up peanut butter before you remembered you wrote a review on it and so you hastily tried to remove the peanut butter but only made matters worse so you decided the heck with it and posted it anyways.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

This... is oddly specific...
